“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Stayed here with a friend on a four day beach break in June. The room was lovely, modern and spacious. Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and had a lovely shower. Location is excellent, right on the beach and in the surrounding area there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars or you can easily catch a bus in to the Old Town. The only problem we had with this hotel was that, given its beach front location, it wasn't great for coming back from the beach! No balcony to hang wet towels/swim wear and it felt much more like a business hotel than a beach hotel.

This hotel was modern and clean with the best location available in Cadz. We were only able to stay for one night but would defenently visit again. Located on the beach and close to a range of restaurants and bars why would you stay anywhere else. The staff were very polite and helpful and made us feel welcome, and sowe would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cadiz.

Modern hotel right on the beach and a 30 minute walk or five minute bus ride (if you can find the bus stop) from the old town.

The hotel is right across the street from the beach. Basically it is ideally located. But if you come by car, or motorbike, you need to be aware that parking is limited and if the lady at the reception is having a bad day, you're out of luck. First I was informed that the garage was full. So I went down and had a look. There were 2 spaces vacant. When I went back, she informed that guests had reserved those spaces (i-net website says this is not possible....). She told me I had to park in the public parking facility down the road. There I was informed that motorbikes weren't allowed. Back at the reception desk, we spoke to a man there and he found us a spot to park the bike.
Otherwise, no complaints about room (except for view), service, or breakfast.

This modern Hotel looks out over the beach, is just around the corner from the bus stop to the old town center and a lovely pastry/coffee shop which sold the best almond croissants! The number 1 bus runs very frequently and only costs 1 Euro. You don`t have to go into the old town though as there are wine bars, restaurants and shops in the area so you are spoiled for choice. We left our car in the hotel carpark as driving into the centre is a nightmare and not worth the stress. Our room was lovely, very modern and luxurious, much nicer than we saw on offer in the old town, and really good value for money. Everything worked, nothing leaked or creaked and we had 2 good nights sleep. Thomas and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The free wi-fi only worked in the reception/lounge area downstairs but this was not a problem as its a large room with cream leather sofa`s to sit on. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend the Tryp Caleta to anyone.

Room Tip: There is a supplement for a sea view - and we thought it was worth it.

Typical high quality hotel from this chain. Great views of the sea, friendly service, expensive parking but there are places along the seafront if youre prepared to walk a little. Hotel is miles from old city but there are plent of buses and the walk along the beach is good exercise but plan on 45 mins.

there was redecorating being done while we were staying there, which took away from the fact that its a 4 star hotel on arrival. But the room was lovely with sea views. Great location right beside the beach with good bars near and easy transport into the old town. No tea ameneties

Room Tip: ask for a room with a sea view if possible, it might cost you more though
