“Good location and value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Very good location, although a little difficult to find. Sat nav required!! All main tourist spots in walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Staff very helpful. Would recommend a room away from streets which were very noisy. Our first night was disturbed so we asked to be moved which was no problem, and they even moved all our stuff for us!

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the street

San Miguel is excellent, in terms of location, cleanliness, comfort and quietness. You won't regret for booking it. It is a 15 min walk to the station and 5 min to major attractions. There are many restaurants nearby for breakfast. I have a very pleasant stay there in Oct.

We came by a small rented car there. If it was of average size, I have no idea how would we pass some narrow streets to get there. We were shown where we could park for free, 5 min walk from the hotel. We got a room in the ground floor a bit smelly. There was a window to the breakfast yard, both from the room and from the toillet. A rather unconfortable bed, a very small one.

The most impressive thing about the room at San Miguel was how spacious it was. For the money we paid we were delighted to have such a large room with a layout which gave the feel of an apartment rather than a room. The bathroom was located down some steps and around a corner (within the room) which felt quite luxurious.
The location was super. The San Miguel is about 15 minutes walk from the historical sights but that really suited us. The area is less touristy and as a result we found some great bars and cafes which were busy with more locals than tourists.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself has a very pretty internal patio area, typical of Cordoba. We wouldn't hesitate to book into this hotel again if we were visiting Cordoba.

The hotel is very well situated and it was really cheap regarding we went there in August. There is also an interior Patio very interesting.
We stayed in a very big room to the front of the house and because of that and poor sound proofed windows it was impossible to sleep (now you know why it was so cheap)...
The staff treats you like tourists (even if you speak spanish) and is not prepared to answer too many questions...
For sure there are better options in Cordoba...

Room Tip: Choose a room in the interior Patio

Like a lot of people we booked this on the back of the tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed.
As
Most people have commented if you are arriving by car it is not the easiest of places to find, but armed with the excellent instructions the hotel sent us we manged fine. We parked the car in the hotel car park around the corner and forgot about it for the two days we were here!
Yes the people on reception do not speak a great deal of English, but I don't know why people get upset about that. We are in Spain after all!
The room we had was large and spotlessly clean, same with the bathroom.
Remember that there is no breakfast served at the hotel, but there are plenty of places to get brecky just around the corner.
The hotel is in the shopping area of town but only a 10 minute stroll down to the main sights.

This hotel has absolutely everything you need and a little more. The double room we had was spacious, very clean and fully air conditioned. The en-suite was extremely clean and had everything you would need. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very charming with a beautiful little patio area in the centre. It is situated in a shopping district about 5 minutes walk from the mezquita and the rest of the old town. While no breakfast is provided there are plenty lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. In fact of all the places i visited in Andalucia, Cordoba was the best for food, i don't think you can fail to have a good meal wherever you go. I can't say enough for the charm of this small City and if you are lucky enough to be visiting you've got to stay here.
