“Helpful staff and free parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2012

I booked this hotel with only a day's notice and it turned out to be the perfect location. Driving in the old parts of Cordoba is a bit tricky, but Hotel Maestre was easy to locate and staff were very helpful with directions. It has underground parking but in the winter it was easy to find a spot on the street outside.
This hotel sits in between two things I would highly recommend - The Mesquita and tapas at the bar Bodegas Campos. Breakfast is served in the neighbouring Hostel Maestre. Based on what I saw in that lobby, the hostel may be an even better bargain.

In the old town within walking distance to all major sights, excellent value for money, breakfast is sufficient

Room Tip: Avoid single room directly at the entrance, draughty

I spent one night in the hotel on 03/12, and found it excellent value. Both the hotel and room were spotless. The single room was a little small but nonetheless comfortable and I enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. Very good value and close to all the places of interest in the city centre. An easy bus ride from the central station, the stop was a mere two minutes form the hotel. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was not easy to find by car using sat nav, but it is worth the effort. It is just outside the World Heritage Site and easy walking distance to all of Cordoba's sites. We were able to to get to the Mesquita just after it opened at 8.30am and see it while it was still quiet (and for free!).

Our room was charming, clean and comfortable. We slept undisturbed with little or no noise from outside or within the hotel. There was a lovely little internal patio/courtyard in the centre of the hotel for guests to use.

If parking is available on street it is free (though it is not often available) otherwise there is an underground car park. The staff worked hard to find parking places for people. In fact all the staff were very friendly and helpful with the receptionists in particular always seeming to be on the move assisting someone.

Breakfast was in the Hostel Maestre a couple of minutes walk down the street. This was no problem and the breakfast was very good.

We would go back and found it very good value for money.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in and probably the cheapest. Spotlessly clean, Attractive entrance with seating area and flower arrangements opening onto a typical Cordoban patio. My room was small but with a very comfy bed and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast for another 5 euros was excellent; buffet style with lots of choice. Easy walking distance to all the main sights. I would stay here again when visiting Cordoba and can't rate it too highly. The bus to and from the bus/train station stops just around the corner.

Although we booked the hotel we were given an apartment on the same block. It was wonderful - lots of space, clean, charming, a view onto a small, quiet plaza with several restaurants.nearby. It had a kitchen and sitting are with two sofas and a tv. We followed the directions given on the hotel’s website, made all the correct turns and arrived at the hotel with no problems although it is a little tricky. It’s located in an excellent location for touring the city – everything is nearby. The courtyards and common areas of the hotel and the hostal are very charming. Breakfast is a great value with lots to choose from. Staff was very helpful. We didn’t want to leave.

The parking spaces in the garage are tight but that’s common in Europe. Compared to some of the other cities, the cost is reasonable.
