This small, unusual, aesthetically beautiful and thoughtfully designed boutique hotel -- almost like a club -- reflects the singular vision of its owner and proprietor, Gerardo Holgado Manzanares, a Cordoba native. The rooms are exactly as pictured -- ours was a large, extremely comfortable double on the second floor. Gerardo himself is a wonderful host -- simpatico, gentil, amusing, knowledgable -- who recommended wonderful, non-touristic restaurants and was otherwise quite helpful. The breakfast was delicious. We appreciated being outside the center of the extraordinarily crowded old city. The hotel, just off the river walk on the old-city side and within walking distance of the main sites, was quiet and restful. The staff (two young women) were lovely. Altogether a wonderful experience.
