“Lovely historic hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Great location right opposite the cathedral, god selection at breakfast buffet. Hotel has underground car park which is useful. Rooms are spacious with baths and some have balcony overlooking a nice courtyard or the cathedral itself. I would stay here again if visiting Cordoba which is a beautiful city

We chose this hotel based on TA evaluations--and the great photos. We were not disappointed with our room overlooking the mosque/cathedral. The decor is slightly dated, but there was a lot of storage space. We LOVED the firm mattresses.

The patio is our favorite part of the hotel.

The onsite parking is an advantage that is not to be taken lightly in the historical center of Cordoba. The staff were very gracious about letting us leave our car in their lot for several hours after we checked out.

Everything you need is within walking distance. The hotel provided a tourist map and info sheet with addresses and opening/closing times of most places of interest. Very helpful.

Breakfast was fine with hot eggs and two kinds of cooked meat, but not exceptional. The coffee could be upgraded. Nice choice of fresh fruits, juices and pastries.

For good value packages, check out the hotel website: http://www.execonquistador.com

Room Tip: We had a street-facing window, overlooking the cathedral. With the room-darkening shades and sound...

The welcome from the receptionist was very helpful and explained how to get our car to the hotel. Good to try and get this information prior to arriving as the hotel is in a restricted area. You will have to press a button on a bollard and explain you are staying at the hotel. The police then let you through. Once your car is parked you won't need it until you leave because the hotel is in the exact position to visit all the places on foot. We stayed two nights, our room was a good size and with everything you could need. The breakfast was plentiful and varied with as much coffee as you can drink. If we went back to Cordoba we would definitely stay at this hotel.

Great value for money, Ideally located just a few metres away from the Mesquita walls a cheap hotel includes a good help yourself breakfast. The room was clean with a small balcony looking onto the courtyard the only downside to the room was that the bed was a bit on the hard side. The staff were very helpfull and all in all I would recommend this as a place to stay in Cordoba, an added advantage is that the hotel has an underground car park which is unusual for hotels in this area. For those travelling by car be sure to download the directions to the hotel from their website as you have to go through a control barrier to get to this part of the city.

Hotel is situated right next to the Mesquita Cathedral, walking distance to the roman bridge and all the shops and restaurants. It has a nice lobby and wifi in the room. But the mattress is as hard as a rock. The lady receptionist gave as the smallest room in the hotel. After we complained, the male receptionist let us choose from 10 vacant bigger rooms with supposedly more comfortable mattress. But the mattress in all these rooms are all the same, hard as rock!

The room is comfortable, bathroom well equipped, the hotel is clean, nice welcome at the reception desk. There is a parking under the hotel. And it is very very pleasant to have one's breakfast in the patio. But above all, the view on the Mezquita. I was there in September with my daughter and the price was quite OK.

When we stayed here Cordoba was very quiet (mid Jan). We were upgraded to rooms on the front so had a great view of the Cathedral walls. Breakfast was included and well worth the extra few euros. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location is excellent. If you do travel in the winter month make sure you take suitable warm clothes, Cordoba gets very cold in the evening.
We would stay here again.
