“Extraordinary Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

I highly reccomend this very special hotel because:
1. It is perfectly located to visit Cordovas main attractions
2. It is an excellent (and beautiful) boutique hotel
3.The view from the terrace at night is spectacular.
4. The service personel bends their backs to be of service.
When we arrive, Raul spend the next half hour making plans and reservations in restaurants and events for us.
His reccomendations were all perfect. They made us feel we were staying at a friends house.

The street to Hotel Balcon was so narrow that our car wouldn't get through. I called the hotel and they came and got us. Then they took the car to their garage. When we walked in, I was shocked by the charm of this beautiful hotel. It seems like you are walking to a private house. The courtyard was beautifully furnished. Maria served us drinks to welcome us. I saw a art piece with AHURAMAZDA in the breakfast area. I found out the owners are Persians who live in Madrid. hen we entered our rooftop suite, I found that our "balcon" was a large, stylishly decorated rooftop with great proximity to the Mosque/Church. It was very majestic hearing the Azan and the church bells from our balcony. I also liked all the bathroom amenities, the fruit bowl on the table, the breakfast and service. For a memorable stay, go to this hotel.

Me and my wife had stay there in May 2012 and liked is so much that we decided to stay again with an other couple in July 2013.

It was once again an outstanding experience. This is a boutique hotel, very well located and the staff is caring and very friendly. Being only 10 rooms, the service is very personalized and they will do what is needed to make your stay one you will remember. This time around we had diner there and it was perfect. Once again being a very small place we were able to interact with all the people in the kitchen. They made sure all of our needs were exceeded!

Room number 6 with its balcony (balcon) on the roof is particularly interesting for the hot nights of summer.

Gilles (Montreal, Canada)

Thanks to all at Balcon de Cordoba!

Room Tip: Room number 6 with the Balcony....

Simply loved this hotel. We toured Andalucia for a week and I wish we would have stayed here last as it made the other hotels seem plain.

Everything from the room to the high level of customer service was amazing. Everyone who worked there was so sweet and so genuine.

The balcony overlooking the Meszquita is beyond words. We had wine at sunset watching the sun go down over the city... Amazing. Sent the pictures to all our friends and family as our "trip to Spain" picture.

Our room was also very special... High quality with character as well.

Restaurant recommendation was amazing.

Getting there is really complicated due to the small winding roads of Cordoba. I would write to the hotel in advance, tell them how you getting there and ask the best way to find them!

If you want a personal service in a quality environment close to the main cultural attractions this is the place for you.

We loved it even though the bedroom had a small hatch window onto the internal corridor, the room was fantastic as was the adjoining bathroom. All mod cons available.

Breakfast...............quality food in a really relaxing setting off the entrance courtyard.

You will not need your car in Cordoba if you are staying at this hotel.

Parking ........... I had my own very individual experience getting towards the Hotel but once parked up fine.

This is definitely one of the Hotels which will remain in my mind as a personal favorite as time passess, fond memories even though its less than 5 days since our stay.

Thanks to all Staff for making this a special stay.

Room Tip: If you can book in advance try and get yourself a room with an external window, if not dont be put o...

loved this small hotel right in the middle of Cordoba. my family of 7 had three of the ten rooms and each was more lovely than the last. the service was outstanding. the breakfast was extensive, delicious and included. woke to the tolling of the bells from the mezquita. I loved the exit of the hotel into the calle de flores. found it very reasonable for the quality of the experience.

This is a lovely small, boutique hotel (10 rooms) situated about one minute's walk from the mezquita. It's a 16th century house which has been beautifully and tastefully restored to an very high standard. Lots of charm but everything works perfectly too. Bathrooms are great.

Roof terrace has fantastic views over the whole city and especially the cathedral. It's pretty small but we could always find a seat. More suited to evening drinks than to sunbathing.

They serve breakfast in the lovely courtyard. There was plenty of choice, everything was very fresh and it's included in the rate. Very good coffee.

Service was first class: warm and friendly yet super-professional.

They've managed to combine the charm and personality of a really good small hotel, with the service and delivery of a really good large hotel. Basically, this is a gem.

Room Tip: Room 5 (regular double) was perfectly nice. Would have prefered one with a terrace (they look great...
