“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

We went there on recommendation of "Lonely Planet" the service & food exceeded any recommendation. We shared 2 entrees, 5 mains, 2 wines & desert; the food was exceptional in all aspects. The quantity quality & price exceeded the standard of anything that we had enjoyed at home.
The Spanish staff was helpful knowledgable & outright charming.
Easy to find.
A very pleasant & wonderful evening.

“Memorable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

It's possible to simply stumble on Casa Mazal, but not likely. We searched for it and are glad we did. The food is visually sumptuous and is tasty, and the wait staff are quietly competent. Try dining in the courtyard if the weather cooperates. A perfect setting away from the hubbub.

“Lovely, friendly place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

We were delighted with this restaurant. The decor is fun, it's a very old building and has seating on a range of levels and in little side rooms as well as the main restaurant - don't forget to ask to see the (slightly scary) Roman well! The waiters were lovely, patient, fun and interesting willing to share information about the food, the restaurant and the history of the Jews in Cordoba. The food was delicious, a wide range of vegetarian food as well as delicious treats for meat eaters - really innovative cuisine combining Mediterranean and Spanish flavours with spices and herbs particular to the Sephardic tradition. Beautiful Sephardic music too from a very talented young woman, helped to evoke the history and tragedy or Cordoba's past

“Fantastic Hideaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

You can count on delicious food, charming atmosphere, and warm service at this tucked-away restaurant. Try the Pumpkin Soup and the Tunisian Fish, followed by the stuffed dates for a balanced, well-seasoned, and fantastic meal!
