This restaurant is part of the Windsor Hotel where we stayed for three nights. While we were there we had dinner in the restaurant on two evenings. The first evening the excellent and helpful server recommended the fixed price menu which for three courses was good value at A$145. After an amuse bouche we had the warm Brie on focaccia with poached pears which was superb. We both chose the beef with sliced baked potatoes, onion and pepper. The fillet steak was cooked superbly and we were delighted with the meal. So much so that we returned the next evening and ordered the same. This time, however, although the starter was up to the same standard, regrettably the main course was not. Instead of fillet steak we were served flank which we would not have normally ordered as it is very chewy. Also the potatoes were sliced more thickly and as a consequence were not all cooked through. Service was just as good but we were disappointed with our meal on this second visit.
