“Great food and nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2010

We came here at the recommendation of others in our hotel. We had a couple of tapas and a couple of entrees. The service was very good, and the atmosphere nice. Our food was very good, and I would recommend this restaurant to others.

“disappointed in value/price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2009

We went to this restaurant for tapa because it was listed in our Michelin travel guide. The lettuce was limp. The tomatoes were not ripe. And it was priced higher than restaurants in the immediate vicinity that were far better.

This charming restaurant with great Spanish food is centrally located in the Old City. The staff were fun and helpful. Dining on the roof is a must

“Casa Pepe Restaurant Incredible Steak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2009

I had the best steak dinner here, that I have ever had. The salted steak was perfectly aged and cured, and cooked to a medium-rare/rare perfection. The portion was enormous, and tender and juicy, with just the right amount of marbling.
I have eaten at the best steakhouses in New York, and Casa Pepe's steak compares with the best that Peter Luger prepares.
The rest of the meal was also superb, and I give this my highest recommendation!

“Pepe is not the restaurant it once was.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2009

If you are looking for the Pepe's that has merluza cordoba style or Sephardic lamb or even the olive oil ice cream mentioned in one review, you won't find it here. Perhaps the restaurant has changed owners or chefs. What it is today is a fairly expensive restaurant with average but not great food. I suggest you look elsewhere.
