“This is a MUST VISIT!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

We went here at the start of the season April 2012. We bought our entry tickets but also paid a little extra to have the buffet lunch which was delicious!! I don't want to say too much as u need to experience ghix for yourself!! But, you are taken back to the wild west and it feels do real, the cowboys put on a special show about 3 times a day in the town centre. They also have there own zoo, which is amazing. U feel so close to the animals. We are s family of 4 with two daughters 7&9 and there is something for everyone, deffinately recommend, but give yourself plenty of time as there is do much to see. So glad we went, it was the highlight of the holiday!!

“Be a Cowboy Film Star for a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

The site of all the Spagetti westerns, watch the action and the shoot out as it happens,Photograph the actors, be part of the the whole thing. Go into the saloon and see the dancers. Be careful not to get shot. We had our wives photos taken and now we have a ranson of100,000 dollars on their heads. No takers yet!!

“Wild west and zoo altogether”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

We spent the day there, and it's a great combination, with very good facilities like an absolutely effective restaurant. It was plenty of people and the bufet didn't run out of a single meal, the staff were very kind, and complied with every requirement, i.e. gluten free menu.
If you plan to have lunch there buy your ticket restaurant at the entrance and you'll get it for 14 € instead of the 17 € if you buy it inside.

For children (in age or in spirit) you can ask the girls in the saloon for a customized make-up, for free, and you will be a red-face in minutes. We also had a picture all dressed-up, and its a very nice souvenir (above all for the kids).

The zoo has tigers, lions, panther, rhinos, hipos, flamingos, parrots (there's a parrot show), jiraffes, bears, ... it was a surprise for us, it was very big, and the animals looked well cared for.

Lovely day.

“Better than a zoo back home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

Whilst on holiday in Almeria our daughters seen a flyer for this attraction and as its only open at the weekends was made to go on a Sunday. After about a 50 minute drive I honestly thought this was going to be another zoo but just in another country......how wrong could I be?

After entering the gate we were asked to pose for photos and my 2 daughters got there photos taken by real life cowboys and were allowed to hold the guns with no pressure to buy (how refreshing). Then on walking up you realise that the whole place looks like its been taken straight out of a John Wayne western with authentic music to go with it really making you feel that you are set back in time.

After spending time seeing all of the animals (there are plenty) we then decided to take in the parrot show.....how funny but I won't spoil it you just have to see this. We also went to the saloon bar that has proper swinging doors to be authentic and whilst there a show came on as well....one for the dads as its the dancing girls but all good family fun. Even although I can't speak Spanish it was really enjoyable.

There are lots of children's play parks with either cowboy themes or red Indian themes including obligatory totem poles and Whig whams!

The best part for me though was the last show where they catch the baddies and set a real life scene with some really good stunts that made it really enjoyable for all of the family.

Overall a great day for all of the family (myself included) that really made it stand out from just being an ordinary zoo to making it a really enjoyable day out (if only someone in the uk would do something similar).

“A great day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

We have been several times, as an adult couple and also with family & grandchildren. There is so much to do - not only the western shows, which my grandson will sit through several times, but also a beautiful zoo, excellent swimming pools during the summer, and other attractions. I would have given this an even higher mark had the buffet style eat-all-you-like restaurant not significantly reduced the range of foods available - it is no longer the excellent value it once was.
