I did the Camino from Burgos in 1974, when I was a young man. We were a mixed group of dutch and English, and we had varying distances and start points. In those days the shelters didnt exist, so we had to arrange a head- we stayed in schools, prisons, churches, anything we could find. The walking in July was hot, and we had a number of support cars to do the shopping and cooking, that we all shared in. A fantastic experience, and we are still in touch after 40 years with many of the people we walked with. We also got engaged and married after that walk. Possibly the most wonderful experience of my life. A great experience
Just do it. Don't even think about it, just do it. you will be rewarded and you wont forget it.
