The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town next to the pleasant wooded historic cemetery and near to the Bauhaus University and the Park on the River Ilm.
Reception was efficient. A €1 / night surcharge (some sort of City Tax) is added to advertised prices.
The room was fair sized (single occupancy of double), a little old-fashioned in decor, but OK. Bed a little soft, thin curtains let in the light. Television with one channel in English. Lots of storage space. Effective heating. Clean. I had asked for and been given a room on a higher (2nd) floor overlooking the cemetery, so pleasant view of trees and quiet (the other side is on a busier exit road, but not that busy, Weimar is a small town). Minibar in the corridor.
Functional shower-room, with basic liquid soap and shower gel. Effective heating. Clean.
Breakfast was the highlight: served in a pleasant bright room overlooking the trees of the cemetery. A good cold buffet selection with quality materials: fruit salad, muesli, cheese, cake &c. Friendly staff.
I'd stay again for value, the location and breakfast.
