My husband, our seven year old son and I stayed one night at this B&B in the town of Schleswig earlier this week.
The location was lovely and the quietness of the place excellent and also the garden! And that´s about it! The landlady was definitely not our cup of tea! My impression was that she did not like visitors, who only stay for one night. Besides, our son showed signs of fear for her big dog on arrival and that probably did not make things better.
The room was okay, located to the street but quiet anyway. As to cleanliness it was okay, but not execellent. In the hallway near the sitting room reviews of the place are framed and put on the wall. Here, it says that the beds are equal to those of luxury hotels. Perhaps, if these hotels have Sultan beds from Ikea. Besides, the sitting room and the couches smell a lot of dog. If, allergic to dogs, it would have been nice to know beforehand. The landlady is very professional, but was directly rude telling us to leave our room, so that it could be cleaned and to pay, because she had an appointment. Besides, she was fussy at breakfast. It would be nice to sit and enjoy breaktfast without someone bustling about all the time. It would also have been nice, if there had been a little kitchenette or at least a place for guests to make coffee/tea by themselves. This is often the case at B&B´s. This was not the case, and guests have to buy ex. wines, beer, soft drink, and coffee from her. We like Schleswig at lot and stay overnight, when going on holiday in other places of Germany, however, we will not be staying at the B&B by the Dom again.
