This small hotel is just off the Mühlenstrasse in Lübeck, in a tall and fairly narrow town house. The well-reviewed Hotel Mühlenteich was full when we arrived and the owner directed us round the corner to this one. Brightly painted, neat and fairly simple rooms, pleasant, attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was superb. This hotel seems to attract literary and musical types and all guests seemed content at breakfast time. Inexpensive for this part of the world in summertime, lots of restaurants nearby, five minutes from the Rathaus [and Mengstrasse if you're a 'Buddenbrooks' fan] and thoroughly recommended.
