“Good hotel for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2014

For a business trip in Denmark it is nice to go over to Flensburg to save money in the wallet.
Good location. Rooms are small and ok, clean. Breakfast is quiet good for this category! Good location to center!

A hotel in the center of Flensburg with parking in the basement. The room was clean with the basic needs for a good nights sleep. The architecture of the room was very strange.
There was a friendly staff in the reception and the breakfast was ok.

When I found this room, I thought, finally a good hotel in Flensburg. It looked really smashing from the photos and the price indicated min. 4 stars. The reception was small but modern, so I was pretty happy so far. I was told that Wifi only was available in the lobby, but that was fine by me.
The corridors are painted in some purple starry paint. It was rather special, but nothing compared to the room!
The room was one of the worst I´ve ever stayed in. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. Dirty carpets, 70´s or 80´s bathroom. Totally unacceptable, but at 01:00 in the night and after a long day, all you really want to do is get some sleep.
Including parking fee I paid just above 130 euros for the room. At that price you get a really great room in a 4 or 5 star hotel in Hamburg.
Breakfast was ok, but very ordinary.

Never again!

Room Tip: My best tip is to pick another hotel, but it´s nearly impossible to find a decent hotel in Flensburg...

As average as possible. Fairly clean, but very small single rooms, tiny bathrooms. Odd decor and very thin mattresses. Anyway, for the price I paid, and given the location very close to the harbor this is a bargain. Breakfast is very basic, but will keep you going till lunch.

First things first: the location is perfect. If that's all you're after then look no further. You're a few moments away from the docks, a very scenic place to enjoy a nice beer or a meal. The town center is a few minutes walk away and there are plenty of things to see and do.

We felt that it was overly plain. It had a flat-screen TV, double beds, small bathroom, ugly carpets, four chairs and a table. That's it. There wasn't so much as a painting on the wall. The room did not have AC so it became very hot, but bearable after the sun sat.

The bathroom drain was clogged, so a shower was out of the question.

They advertised that the rooms had free WiFi, but our location in the building (on the second floor) was out of range.

All of the staff we had dealings with spoke good English, but some of them didn't carry a very likable attitude and didn't seem present.

Room Tip: If you feel that

Funny!? My wife rated the hotel on the hotels homepage as average. 3 out of 8 possible points. But when the hotel published her rexperiences they did it with a score of 7,5 and my wifes comments where deleted.
The rooms were ok with no Pictures on the walls and in a greenish yellow Cold colour. Very clean. Most of the staff were ignorant and did not seem present. My wife dont speek german and the staff did not speek English - hallo its 2014.
The breakfast was OK+.
Its near to shopping and the old town, so a very big plus for that.
Public parking lot less than 100 meters away. The hotel parking lot was restricted to cars no more than 1,75 meters tall.
