At 6€ entrance fee it's not cheap especially as it closes at 16:00 during the winter and you need a good hour and a half to go around the monument itself, so we missed the museum bit. So go in the morning is my tip. The monument is 91 metres high with 500 steps to climb to the top. A lift will take you half way up if you wish to conserve energy. The climb to the very top is worth it as the views over the surrounding area are magnificent. The stair cases are divided into up and down as they are spiral staircases and only shoulder width when they straighten out. The last stage has traffic lights to go up and down as there is only one stairwell. The carved figures are very impressive.
