“German conteporary style and quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Located in a restored city centre block just opposite the Thomaskirche, around 20 minutes walk from the main rail station. It only opened 2011-12, so all the facilities appear smart. The establishment seems to operate along the lines of an apartment style hotel, although not all rooms include kitchen facilities.

On arrival, the reception staff were very professional, efficient and spoke good English. We also had to call them after our departure after we left some items in our room and they were very obliging and helpful.

Our room was fitted out to a high standard and nicely fused with some traditional touches and contemporary design. The bedside ipod docking station was great for playing some of our own music and gave some good quality sound. The only negative, was there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but we appreciate that's not usually German practice.

We enjoyed the excellent Sauna facilities located in the basement area. This was fitted out to a high standard and including spacious relaxation area with loungers.

We had to leave for an early train so didn't take breakfast at the hotel, however, we had a very pleasant birthday meal in the Wein Wirtshaft restaurant at the ground floor, which seemed be connected to the operation of hotel? The service was of a very high standard, with excellent contemporary cuisine and as the name suggests, a great selection of wine.

For the quality we experienced, the tariff we paid seemed very reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Our room faced onto a quiet garden area to the rear of the building, which gave a pleasant outlook.

Great central location, nice spacious room (motette). Near shopping museums tram and taxi. One thing and that is the room was not cleaned when we were gone into town. Nonetheless enjoyed the stay there its a perfect citytrip hotel.

The rooms in this charming hotel are decorated in musical themes. My room had a huge musical score along the wall over my bed. There is a statue of Johan Sebastian Bach in the St Thomas Church courtyard outside the hotel. Bach seemed to be looking in my window, keeping watch as I slept.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the St. Thomas Church courtyard.

This is a small but very, very, very, very good hotel in Leipzig. It's location can't be better - right next to the Bach church and his museum. The lobby is small but the staff is very, very, very friendly and everything about this hotel is very good. The rooms are big and very clean. The view from to either the church or the garden is very good. I would highly recommend that you stay at this hotel if you are planning a trip to Leipzig.

The restaurant at this hotel is very good and I would recommend that you have a taste of the whine menu. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very friendly.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great - just enjoy!!!!!

This was the perfect place to stay in Leipzig, especially if a person is a Bach fanatic, like me. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you look out the front door, you see the statue of Johann Sebastian Bach which is by the Thomaskirche. Next door is the Bach Archive, a wonderful place; I could have spent several days there.

I really enjoyed my time at the arcona Living Bach14 hotel. It was unforgettable, and I have only wonderful memories of my stay there.

New hotel in a historical building in strategic location, just next to Bach Museum and St Thomas Church. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. The hall has also Bach's CD and video which can be viewed in room since they have DVD player. Staff is very helpful and self service breakfast has plenty of foods and drinks.
The best rooms are looking over the Bach's statue in front of St Thomas Church.
The City Hall is 5 minutes walk and Opera 15 minutes walk.Fitness centre and sauna are complimentary for guests.

The location is unbeatable on a quiet square next to the Thomas Church. The hotel is located in a historical building and is newly developed. The inside and the rooms are very modern. Wooden flooring, large and welcoming bathrooms, small kitchen, free Wi-Fi, all creating a heaven of piece in the middle of the city.

Staff is exceptionally friendly, very helpful and make the difference.

I would stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Room 406 is facing the square but still very quiet.
