“Good food and entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

The food is very good, with a series of "old" and new dishes.
The atmosphere, however, was really the selling point. If you're lucky you will find a group of people that after a few beers ill just burst singing traditional songs.

“A good lunch near the Zwinger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

We had a pleasant lunch here. It was late and the restaurant fairly empty. One of us had roast pork, kraut, boiled potatoes and white wine; the other had pork medallions, cheesy potatoes, and white wine. Total cost including tip was 40 Euros. Food was tasty; service was fine though a little slow; atmosphere was interesting - especially the trip to and from the restroom.

I don't know that we would return as there are many other restaurants in Dresden to try. It is certainly conveniently located if you are visiting the Zwinger.

“Fantastic Food and Entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

The food is of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Don't be fooled, only order soup for a starter as the main courses are enormous. There were 12 of us and none of us finished everything. Order the shots, they are delicious and are served by a woman dressed in costume and she tells you the history of drinking the shots.
