“High quality, modern design hotel in central location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Hotel is conveniently located next to Frauenkirche and the tranport museum. The staff were uniformly helpful. The beds are comfortable beds. We had a family suite which provided more than enough room. The bells from the church ring with regularity, which I personally found peaceful
Drawbacks: the internet system is not user friendly. You have to keep getting new passwords and usernames after you use up your allotted time. Furthermore, you will
]have to pay twice if you have a family suite because you need a code for each room.
Gaining entrance to our hotel during the Christmas season was difficult because the outside of the hotel could not be accessed from the street. One in our party had to hike to the hotel to get explicit instructions about where we should park our car. It would have been nice if the hotel had warned us about this problem

Most of Dresden’s historical sights, museums and galleries are within the old town, much of it now restored to its former glory. The rather strangely named QF Dresden Hotel could not be more central, and is the perfect base for exploring this lovely city. The sparse and understated foyer gives no indication of the excellence of its large rooms. On the 5th floor, my room faced a quiet road at the side of the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was sufficient storage space should one have several suitcases of clothing, the pristine bathroom boasted a rain shower and a full-length bath – perfect for relaxing after a long day sightseeing.

The splendid buffet breakfast selection was extensive and there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. All in all, an excellent hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed here in August and loved this hotel. Our room on the 5th floor was very spacious, facing the main square of the old city. Bathroom is huge with all amenities.
The only annoying thing is that free WiFi is not included, you have to purchase time slots and you need to log in and log out every time. This is very silly, they should just add 10 Euros to the rates and offer it for free.

Stayed 3 nights in late September and fully satisfied with our choice of this hotel. It has the very best possible location, right in the centre of the city and literally moments to all attractions and wide selection of restaurants. Despite the central location it was in fact very quiet- the only noise was the church bells! Very clean and comfortable with great breakfast. Staff efficient although a little 'Distant' Found to be really good value for money. Highly recommended

On our recent trip to Germany we stayed two nights at QF Quartier in Dresden. We were extremely pleased with the choice. You literally are right in the main square of the city with outdoor cafes and the Frauenkirche right outside the front door.

Our room was modern and spacious with a really nice extremely clean bathroom (fantastic showers). There was plenty of seating, a desk and ample outlets for charging. WIFI was free in the room and consistent. The bed was very comfortable. Our view was on the backside and nothing special but I'm sure the views on the front of the hotel are pretty nice.

The breakfast room is spacious and delightful. There is plenty of room in a well lighted modern motif. The spread is fantastic with the traditional range of German meats, breads and cheeses but also cereals and hot eggs and breakfast meats. Really nice staff in the room.

One additial interesting note is that the hotel elevator decends into what is a nice upscale shopping mall with restaurants and nice shops. There also is a large parking garage reached via the hotel elevator. Parking is 20 Euros per night but it is easy to get in and out. You don't want to drive too much in the old city (don't need to really because it is small and imminently walkable)

We loved this hotel and were sad to leave. We would definitely return if we return to Dresden.

Room Tip: Try for a higher floor room with a view of the square.

I stayed in the stunning city of Dresden as I was travelling on my own after a business trip. I have to say, I absolutely loved this city. It was a picture postcard at every turn and it was compact and very easy to get around. I stayed in the QF hotel which was right in the heart of everything in old town. As a single female travelling alone it was very comforting to be so close to so many restaurants at night and the atmosphere in the square was bustling. As the name suggests it is also right near the beautiful church, Frauenkirche, that dominates the square. The hotel itself is lovely. It had friendly staff at check-in and the rooms were spacious and really lovely. I had a room in the back of the hotel which did not overlook the square but I didn't really mind as the church bells and square noise may have been an issue but I can't really comment on that as my room was lovely and quiet and I could faintly hear the church bells occasionally. my room had a long hallway into the room. The bathroom was really good. It had a vanity and hanging space and around the corner was the toilet and the most gorgeous shower which felt very private. The shower had a rain shower head which was divine but it also had a hand-held shower head as an alternative that you could switch between whatever your preference. The bedroom had a large split king and there was a desk with wifi access (small fee to use) which was great to have. The flatscreen tv had English speaking channels as well as German channels which was good to catch up with what was going on in the world via BBC.

Breakfast was served in their restaurant on the 2nd floor. This a a gorgeous big light room with plenty of food on offer to service all tastes. Plenty of coffee and tea and you get a whole pot to yourself which was a really good option than just a cup!

Gym facilities are available with an arrangement they have at their neighbouring hotel too.

I highly recommend this hotel as it was a fabulous location and facilities. It's a quick taxi ride from the Dresden Hbf which was under 10euros or a 15 minute walk from the station.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the square, I would request it but it may be a bit more noisy on that side. I...
