Innside Melia is adverised as a stunning design hotel. This it is not. Architecturally the hotel is only average - a rather dingy entrance hall, nondescript lounge and bar, nice atrium. The rooms are relatively small. The open and transparent bathrooms don't allow for sufficient privacy. Breakfast is godd, but expensive. Service inconsistent - sometimes very nice, sometimes almost rude. The location is central and quiet. On balance this is an average hotel at a great location.

This hotel is marvellous!
Located in the old part of Dresden, it is just steps away from the historical attractions.
The room was big, bathroom was big and comfortable.
View was superb.

This hotel is a fair price for the city center. It is a brand new hotel, opened in January 2010, and is located right next to the Frauenkirche. The parking was the only gripe that we had. Parking is available in the hotel parking garage, although the tickets that we issued by the hotel never worked, and no accountability was kept on how many guests were given tickets compared to spots available. This caused us to not have a parking spot on one afternoon (even though we were paying the price of 16-18euros a day to park! The hotel staff was not as helpful as we would have liked when it came to the parking problem, and almost shrugged it off. One front desk cleark, Mrs. Fuchs, was VERY helpful and always willing to go out of her way for us (while the others were cold and sometimes mean).

Overall, the location of the hotel, with the decent price and nice room well overshadowed the lack of organization with their parking garage.

This hotel was so clean and sleek! The reception staff was wonderful! They were so great about answering all of our questions. The location is perfect. Access to all tram lines within a few minutes walk in multiple directions. There were only two things that I would change: 1. The cost of breakfast is too expensive at 18 Euro pp.
2. There is no computer available to guests.
Overall we had a great stay!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2010

We stayed there just after the opening of the hotel. Some details were not fixed yet and there were still some workers in the hotel, but the very friendly staff did everything to make us 100% happy in this amazing place, and we even got an upgrade. In general a state-of-the-art beautifull very modern and design hotel. The location ist just amazing (100 mtrs away from Frauenkirche), restaurant is delicious, parking under the hotel, fitness/welness bit small but splendid, and the rooms are just great! Only critic (but really a minor detail) the panorama bar is a bit overprized. We fell in love with this place!
