“Local meals offered saxonian way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

One only has to be sort of a pathfinder when in the city of Dresden. This attractive place for a rustic meal lies a little in secret and away from the main streets. The host and his employees are very kind and professional in the service. The kitchen is excellent and offers tasteful courts predominantly from Saxony's delicious recipes. Furniture equipped attractively is rustic the premises and offer an attractive frame for German cosy atmosphere. With a group of 20 friends we enjoyed a beautiful evening with good meal and drink.

“Quite German!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

What a curious restaurant ... a former Wind Mill! Not certain how long this place as been operating as a restaurant venue but it is quite interesting. For the food: German to the core and add to that Saxon cuisine. Had reservations for 4 persons and arrived slightly early and we were ushered in easily. The food appeared slowly and when we got it realized it really was prepared to order, not from a "cafeteria style" kitchen. I was the only American among the 4. The others were "saxons" and believed the food to be quite fine. My only tip: if your are walking challenged in any way, be careful. I saw nothing that was a ramp. Steep stairs up to the front door. While there IS outdoor seating, not certain totally year round, one of our party felt it was too windy so we went up one STEEP flight of steps to the 2nd floor of the wind mill. Tight and difficult, if walking challenged. Be careful. Not a criticism, but no one responded in any way to my English. If you can NOT read German foods then have no idea what you will encounter.
LOVED the place.
