“Unforgettable Week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

After getting married in Somerset we wanted a place to chill out for 15 of us for a mini moon straight after the wedding. Newhouse Farm was perfect. We stayed in 3 cottages and also brought Alfie the bichon frise. You would never know any dogs had stayed previously. The cottages were warm and clean and had everything we needed. My daughter and our nephew loved the pool, trampoline, playground and soft play indoor area. Everyone loved the games rooms and all the adults would have pool and table tennis competitions after dinner. We had long walks and went to the lake and enjoyed the beautiful views. We had lovely meals at a few local pubs and also went to Chumleigh for a curry and Tiverton for a yummy Thai.Keith was really friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We are already trying to book for next year. There is limited phone signal which was actually quite nice. We have traveled the world and who would have thought we would find paradise in Witheridge... We had the most amazing week.

The cottage (Beech) was very well equipped and very comfortable. We all enjoyed spending lots of time in the indoor pool and the kids loved the games room. The surrounding countryside is great for walking the dog. Keith and Doreen were very friendly and welcoming, and a visit to the local pub, the Mitre, is a must. Superb home cooked food and very welcoming to dogs and children alike

We recently stayed at 'Rowan' cottage with our three kids and a nephew. The cottage was well appointed and unique in that there was an inner door leading straight to the Games room and indoor pool. The kids were hardly to be seen and we all had great fun. Keith and Doreen were charming hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The grounds were interesting with a lovely pond populated by ducks that I had never seen before. We aim to pay a return visit soon with some more friends and family!

22 of us took a variety of cottages over Christmas. Ages ranged from 85 to 6 and included 5 dogs. We could not have had a better Christmas. Keith has managed to provide just about everything you could need for an easy and comfortable stay. The cottages are warm and cosy and very well equipped. What made Newhouse Farm perfect for us was the fact that the kids were occupied by the pool and games room as it rained for most of our time there, whilst us adults could relax. We all ate together in the Hayloft but could retreat to our own cottages when needed. And we needn't have worried about it not feeling Christmassy away from home. There were decorations everywhere and we even had own tree in the cottage. The dogs loved the walk down to the lake. If you stay - which we can throughly recommend - you must go to the Witheridge Farm Shop a short drive from Newhouse. In one word, AMAZING. A real gem in the middle of nowhere with nearly all the produce locally sourced and much of it made on the farm. Would love to visit again in the summer and get to see some of more of the beautiful countryside.

In June 2012 we hired all the 9 cottages for 4 days for our wedding. Family and friends came for the 4 days and it couldnt have gone any better, it was an amazing wedding and everything single person loved it.

We got married at Fishermans Cot but we had the reception here and put up a marquee in the carpark.

All the facilities were brilliant and well used, especially the pool as there were a number of families and young children at the wedding. It went so well many of us are now talking about coming back next year

We stayed in 'Oak' and had a brilliant, and very relaxing weekend break for two. The cottage was well equipped and clean, with charming interior and great local information. Located 40 minutes from Saunton and Croyde, perfect for surfing and exploring the north coast. We loved the pool! We would definitely go back, preferably for longer! Thanks for a great stay.

I stayed with my 11 year old daughter and our small dog in the Oak Cottage for 5 days over the Easter holidays. The rest of our family (3 adults & 2 children) were staying at The Linhay so we spent most of our time with them just sleeping at our accommodation which was very nice and had everything we could possibly need!
The Linhay is wonderful - it offers luxurious, modern and cosy accommodation with plenty of space for a large family and overlooks the lovely Devon countryside.
The communal facilities at the cottages for the children were a godsend and kept them occupied for hours on end - the pool being the absolute highlight for them.
The owners were very friendly and helpful but never intruded and left us to enjoy our holiday without interfering.
We visited Tiverton Museum which was well worth a morning or afternoon trip, also the local produce market at South Molton with a cream tea afterwards in the high street and went horseriding on the moors to a place close by which was recommended in the information book at the cottages.
All in all a really lovely, relaxing break that I'm sure we will be repeating in the future!!
