“Cozy, clean, good room and very friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

When visiting Koblenz, do consider this hotel! When you look at earlier reviews they state that this is a good hotel. And that is correct! The situation of the hotel is very good; you can walk into the old city within 10 min. The hotel itself is not so extraordinary from the outside, but nicely decorated on the inside. We had a very spacious room with a separate seating-area and a big bathroom; very nice! The beds are good, not soft or wornout. Everything is clean. The breakfast is great!
The owner, mrs Dietz, is a great person. Very friendly, with a personal touch and great attention to detail and helpfull. You feel right at home in this hotel.
Last but not least: the hotel offers a place to park you car. The parkingplace is secured and approx. 150m from the hotel. Very good.

Room Tip: We stayed in #27. A very spacious room with a beautifull bathroom and a view on the garden.

Location was great near railway station, spotlessly clean, and room was very spacious, great breakfast . Staff were very caring and could not have been more helpful. Hostess Michaela Dietz was extremely caring and even took me to a nearby bank to show how to operate the ATM.Would have no hestitation in staying there again.

Room Tip: All rooms are great hotel is in a side street.

It's unfortunate Tripadvisor doesn't have a six star rating, as that's what I'd give this hotel and its staff. We had a most comfortable room, quiet, nicely furnished and all we needed. The proprietor, Michaela Dietz is the most helpful, attentive and kindest hotelier I've ever experienced, and I have traveled the world extensively for many years. She is the 'Gem' and her supporting staff are splendid. Nothing was too much trouble for her and it was like having your personal concierge/travel guide/ advisor. And breakfast, wow! Interestingly, Ms Dietz never looks at Tripadvisor reports, "As she may see negative comments". No hope of that!

Room Tip: We requested a quiet room as one side of the hotel faces a road. Ours overlooked a small but delight...

The hotel was well located, being a 10 minute walk to the train station and right next to the Old Town. Koblenz is a compact town and it is easy to get around.

My room was large and very quiet. It was simple but clean and everything worked fine. Wi-fi was very good, the water was hot and water pressure OK.

The owner/manager was happy to help with any issues that might come up. I happened to arrive very late (almost 1 am) and she made a special arrangement for me to enter, including clear directions to my roo. This was most appreciated.

We stayed at the Brenner Hotel recently after completing a week long walk up the Rhine from Bingen. The Brenner was everything we were after ... Super impressed by the size of our room, including a four poster bed and adjoining sitting room with comfortable chair and couch. Large bathroom with a shower for two and all the amenities. Cable TV with plenty of English language plus local channels. Breakfast only in the dining room was well catered for. Plenty of dining options nearby ... We walked two blocks to Lohrstrasse which had many choices. Also an easy walk to both the main railway station and the city centre itself which put the Brenner in a very useful and accessible location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Staff friendly and able to communicate well in English.

When we arrived at the hotel my husband needed medical assistance and hospitalisation. Michaela arranged everything. Without her assistance in all areas, including language, the situation would have been much more traumatic. We extended our stay and thanks to the excellent help we were able to enjoy Koblenz. THe Hotel is very comfortable and is located in a quiet area within walking distance of the city centre. Thank you to all the staff. We are looking forward to returning one day.

This hotel was a great stay. The location was great for getting down to the Rhine as well as the train stations we needed. It was also much more impressive in person than the photos and the like had made me anticipate.

The rooms were large and spotless. The front desk was very helpful and had several people staff it at various times when we were around and all very helpful. They even came outside and assisted us with parking tickets which was great!

We enjoyed the breakfast as well and found everything to be excellent.

Definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
