I ate here with a colleague while visiting Dusseldorf for a conference. It was a lot of fun. Don't expect any pretense, this is genuine German that survives after decades of service. No waiter spoke any English, so that added to the charm. We were seated at a table with people from America, Austria, Switzerland, Nepal, and Ireland. All of us spoke English, so we just enjoyed the experience.
Don't expect a lot of salads and healthy stuff, this is a red meat kind of place. I had the goulosh special which was wonderful. They have small glasses of local brewed beer which was also very good.
This is a real international treat and should not be missed if you have an open evening here in Dusseldorf.
