I have stayed here twice in the last 6 weeks; once alone and once with my husband. The first time (alone) I paid €179 despite booking well in advance. The second time, I paid €103 for two people. Although surprised at the price, I expected to to have a luxury experience as part of my trip.
The rooms are standard business hotel, but large, very clean, and with excellent bathrooms. The bed was perfect. However, there were no bathrobes, the toiletries were poor, and the free mini bar was minimal. The price did not include breakfast. Check-in was swift, despite the long queue, with polite staff, all of whom speak excellent English. Despite being adjacent to the airport, there was no noise.
On my second visit, with my husband, breakfast was included in the price but no one told us where to go and we didn't bother as we had an early flight. There were several restaurants in the lobby and we went for dinner to the one that was smartly laid out, only to be told that there was a private function on. We decided on the 'Mediterranean' restaurant - dismal. Despite being practically empty, we waited an hour for our food to be served. The complimentary bread was the best course, although not brilliant, and our main course was overcooked and not tasty. It is so unusual to get a poor meal in Germany! It was very expensive too, and we wished we had gone to McDonalds in the hotel terminal.
The location is great; only one of two hotels attached to the the airport, and it is slick and efficient if you need a good bed and an easy early getaway, but it is not 5 star.
