“Great location, great service, great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Modern, immaculate and conveniently located adjacent to the Dusseldorf Airport. Signs within the airport point to the hotel and a foot-bridge links the two buildings.
We ordered room service which was quite good and reasonably priced. If planning to watch TV, note that non-German TV channels will cost a small additional fee.
Overall, a great place to spend the night if facing an overnight stop-over! Recommended.

We stayed for 1 night at the Maritim Hotel adjacent to the Dusseldorf airport last month. This hotel by far has been my favorite airport hotel. It was conveniently connected to the 2nd floor of the airport terminal. The hotel public areas were spacious, quiet, immaculately clean and welcoming. Hotel staff were efficient and helpful. The room was perfectly appointed with just the right amount/type of furnishings. It was great for the business or leisure traveler. We ate at one restaurant, the traditional restaurant and found the food and service to be top notch. We did not choose to eat the very expensive breakfast at a different restaurant at the hotel since we had time to get a bite at the airport before our flight. They did have a coffee maker in the room. Also, wifi was a little bit expensive but we had an ATT hotspot that offered connectivity for a lot less than the hotel charged. My only slip up was being lulled into the belief that being so close to the terminal and with no one in the lobby the night before that I could expect a quick checkout the following morning. We were surprised to find a whole flight crew checking in, several people checking out and only 2 hotel employees the next morning. It was a slow process but we had no trouble walking to our terminal in time for our flight.

Room Tip: Don't worry about noise or views at this hotel. The soundproofing is very good.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was a lovely hotel. Very clean spacious room with a comfy bed, bathroom clean and modern too. Mini bar which was complimentary in the room we stayed in was a bonus. the hotel is also within minutes walk from the airport. Staff very pleasant, breakfast not the best, cold on both days but did have a good selection of cold meats, cheese & pastries. Ate in one of the bars on Monday night and ordered the deep fried salmon and what a disappointment that was, it was a small piece of battered cod. Not sure if they know the difference between cod & salmon. My husband had the chicken curry and it looked more like a risotto without any flavor to it, don't think we will eat there again if we go back. Train station only a few minutes walk and very easy to get to the city centre. Beware of the taxi drivers, they drive like maniacs, we were never as glad to reach our hotel after being out for a meal and a few drinks.

Room Tip: 7th floor was very good with great views of the airport. Although it was so close to the airport you...

I attended a business meeting here and would happily stay again if needing a hotel near dussldorf airport. It's virtually attached to the Ian terminal. Newly furbished with a good gym and pool. Nice new large rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast buffet food was all cold on the one day I ate there.

I stayed here earlier this week when attending the GDS exhibition. The location is ideal for the airport as right on the doorstep and there is a free bus service right outside the hotel to and from the exhibition centre (10 mins)

The rooms are very clean and spacious, English TV options in the room were extremely limited but the pool / sauna / gym facilities were great! Bit of a magical mystery tour on the 4th floor to find the spa but got there in the end. 19 Euro charge for 3 days of wifi access which isn't too bad.

The hotel is huge with a number of restos and a car rental service housed within the main building. Because of it's size, there isn't really a personable quality to this hotel due to the high flow through of short term guests. Nevertheless, all staff that I encountered seemed to be helpful and friendly (not always the case when I've stayed in German hotels in the past) so quite refreshing.

Both nights of my stay I ate at the Rheinische Stov resto. The first night was a little disappointing as I ordered the sea salmon. The breaded frozen fish portion I was served had never been anywhere near a sea salmon and was most likely cod or haddock. Hopefully a translation issue and easily rectified but certainly not what I ordered or wanted. I gave it another go the second night and was pleased I did - the crispy pork knuckle is amazing! The staff are great too!
I will absolutely be staying here again when in Dusseldorf and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Location ideal next to the airport and near the highway. A large hotel, with a nice rich interior and in tip-top condition. Large room, comfy bed, basic but ok bathroom. Overpriced breakfast. Good food available but common areas including restaurants lack atmosphere, something to be expected at any airport hotels. Great swimming pool and sauna area. There are some easy things they can do to improve; coffee kettle in room, more consistent room keeping-minibar replenishment, sleepers in room (they quickly sent a pair when asked). Intrigued by the good state of the swimming pool area with no staff around. German efficiency I guess.

We stayed one night after a late flight in to Düsseldorf. The location was perfect. It's not in the terminal building, but right beside it. Check in was very quick and the guy working the night shift was very welcoming. Our room was on the 6th floor with partial views of many planes. There was no problem at all with the sound level, the sound-proofing is very good. The room was much bigger than expected (around 35m2) and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very big and bright which is always a plus. The in-room safe had a socket inside, which was quite convenient. Would definitely stay again if connecting in Düsseldorf.
There were very few negatives: breakfast is far too expensive. Instead, just walk into the terminal and have something there. No free wifi, which feels cheap. And the carpet in the room had a very strange type of cushioning so it sounded like you were walking on a plastic bag whenever you walked around the room; not a deal-breaker but still...
