“Great base for the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

I stayed here earlier this week for work. It was recommended it by a colleague.
NIce big rooms (well 34 was) and the breakfast was great.
Very clean, helpful staff.
Only one complaint, the wifi is not included, it's 10 Euro for the stay. It is 2012 isn't it?

Room Tip: Go for a room facing inside. 33 & 34 are good.

I needed a place to stay in Dusseldorf on both ends of a journey as I was flying through Dusseldorf airport. It was just 21 euros to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It is also a very short walk to the old neighbourhood in Dusseldorf which is full of winding cobblestone streets and cafes. The front desk also had a convertor for my computer charger which was very helpful!

Rooms: modern, very clean (for hygienic reasons I like stone floor a lot better than carpeted floor), small, nice furniture.
Location: Between main station and city centre (5 Minutes walk from Königsallee).
Breakfast: excellent buffet in a great ambience.
Price: reasonable (especially in comparison to similar hotels in Düsseldorf center).

Rooms are small. The location is OK but not the greatest. Did not look too inspiring at night. It is two streets from Konigsalle. The bed was not very comfortable. I had a single room facing the road. I stayed one night and this was one night too much.

The shower rooms did not close. There was water all over the bathroom when I finished my shower.

And they charge 5 Euros for internet as well. Internet is fast and highly usable.

Quickly got to the hotel from the airport, a taxi cost about 22 euros. It is easy to find the entrance.
Small lift, for a maximum of 2 persons, steep stairs. Interesting little room (I booked for one, and no breakfast). Not by accident the room has a slipper - to walk on the stone floor is cold. I would not recommend this hotel to guests with children. The location was good, there are a lot of restaurants and others hotels around. This hotel has remained quite normal experience, but if i be back in Dusseldorf, then probably choose another hotel.

Clean modern room, good furniture. The access for the apartments is done after you pay a visit to a front desk office 300 meters away, but if you are in a good shape you can also climb your baggage 1 floor on the stairs, to the elevator. Excellent breakfast, nice people for service.

Stayed here for 2 nights, in an apartment block a couple of minutes away from the hotel building itself and reception, plenty of space in room and modern ambience, kitchenette was fully equipped. The area is a bit rundown, but it is very close to the main station, as well as only a short walk into the city centre (never had to use public transport to get to and around the city centre). My only complaint would probably be the term "art hotel" - could not really see how this hotel was "artier" than a non art hotel... staff at reception was friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: I liked the apartment room in the seperate building.
