“Business Trip Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

I stayed at the NH in September, while on a business trip. The hotel is situated in an area that I would not have chosen, if I were visiting for any other reason, and there seemed to be a lot of people "hanging around" out front of the hotel. It was, however, a quick taxi ride to Altstadt (Old Town), and I was able to enjoy the Rhine River and the very good restaurants in that area. It was quite possibly the best part of the trip. Quaint cobblestone streets with shops and beer gardens.
The hotel offered a breakfast buffet every morning, but a bit pricey for what they offer. Wifi was only available in the lobby, which was frustrating while trying to stay connected to work and home in the states. The lobby bar was a nice place to meet with colleagues and end the day, but also pricey. Rooms were okay, but a outdated. The tubs are very narrow and not easy to navigate a shower. Overall, it was a decent accommodation, but could use an update.

NH seems to be a reliable hotel chain, providing decent accommodation, without any pretence at being anything other than 4-star.
Room spacious and comfortable, with two small desks, armchair, separate area for clothes storage. Bed firm and comfortable. Bathroom compact but functional - shower over bath.
Service could be better - local dinner recommendations were unspecific and uninspiring.
Only complaint is the hotel wi-fi only seems to work in the central public area. They need to fix that quickly!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lift area, which is quite noisy from the central atrium.

Rooms are clean and tide. General speaking the hotel ,especially the room area´s are quite and noice free. Breakfest with 20€ /person is too expensive. Downtown Düsseldorf easy reachable from the hotel.

This place is the least inspiring hotel I have stayed at for some time.
No WiFi in the rooms.
TV is very old.
No iron in the room.
Basic accommodation on a huge scale. If it was not the only place available in Dusseldorf that week I would not have stayed in that location for sure.

I reserved 3 rooms through internet, and payed them, too. One room was later cancelled and I did that through internet, too.
We flied to Duesseldorf and checked in hotel. We got to the hotel. It was light, modern and minimalistic. There where shopping possibilities nearby and also small resturants.
The list of hotel own restaurant was too short for us.
In the evening reception called me and asked about this third room. The did not have the cancellation. It was my luck to have as printed to the paper.

Room Tip: Nice area and good connections to the city centre and to Fairs

We have stayed here several time since march2013. Our first impression was very positive. Clean and modern. The rooms are adequate as we usually they for a night. We never tried the breakfast though it looked good. Very friendly staff and easy check in procedures. Close to the train station and subway. Easy walk to Immermann straße and to konigsalle and also altstadt. Not expensive to get taxi back to the hotel at night.
Cons: there's no complimentary drinks, like coffee, tea and water. No wireless Internet in rooms, only cable connection. I think wireless Internet in the lobby area. Parking is expensive but we r usually in Duseldorf on weekends so we can find parking for free around the hotel vicinity.

Room Tip: What we like was the location, close to the city but still a quite area. Most importantly, clean roo...
