“Good quality, but service expensive and not very friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

Very clean and comfortable rooms. A little bit cold at night, I could not heat room. Also we have a problem with key-card. Opening the room was a challenge. Expensive paid internet. Expensive hotel parking, although it was empty all night long. Good restaurant and food.

We stayed here on 5/9/13 for a long weekend. Am Seestern train station is opposite the hotel, so no troubles with travel. Dusseldorf city is about 15 minutes away by train, and the service is very good. The hotel itself in within a business district so it's very quiet. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We dined there twice. The menu was fairly limited, but the food was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception staff in particular were extremely knowledgeable when we asked about train timetables, taxi fares etc. They couldn't do enough for you. A very efficiently run hotel and I would certainly recommend it to others.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

I stayed here with my wife at the end of August. We arrived very late after hours of driving and just wanted to get to our rooms and have dinner. We could not do so as I had to return to reception twice in order to get into our room. It turns out that I was directed to the wrong room, hence the keys did not work, so it took us over 15 mins to check in, though we were the only ones at the time. Minimum apology was offered.

We had dinner in the Bar, but again, although very nice the service was peculiar. The one barman was running around, however he only had the three tables to deal with. Maybe he was doing his closing etc.

The food we got was very nice, and I would not consider it to be very expensive either.

We did not have breakfast as they moved the restaurant to their banqueting hall due to a refurb going on in the main restaurant.

The room was very nice, with huge TV and bathroom was nicely appointed as well.

Parking was expensive at 18eur per night.

All and all I would recommend this hotel, but please address the issues at reception and service in general.

Great clean hotel. Good service. Especially the bell man was a riot. I forgot his name, but he was Turkish or Persian. Very helpful, cheerful and friendly.
I can highly recommend the hotel
There is a bar/restaurant downstairs that seems popular with locals too.
A bakery is within walking distance.
Rooms were clean and spacious.

We stayed here two nights in May. The proximity to Krefeld, where we needed to be for an auction, was nice. The room was clean, bathroom was clean, and the shower was great (plenty of hot water and good shower head...things I appreciate!). The front desk staff were wonderful. Parking structure was very small and expensive to park there, but I expected that. Good price. Thanks.

Cheaper Hotel, not vlose to downtown.
There is another Courtyard at Medienhafen. That one is in a better location.

This hotel is ok to stay for a business trip of 1-2 days.

Ask for small breakfast, which is 9.50 instead of 19Euro. Still good breakfast. In summer one can sit outside till 12pm

Booked as we thought it was a relatively easy commute from the airport, but was a bit further than we expected really. Cab ride was approx €25 one way. Hotel is in an okayish location - right in the middle of a business district, might be busy during the week but on the weekend we stayed it was dead. Tram stop is nearby and very easy to use. Slight disappointment that the hotel did not have any tickets but no biggy.

Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Room was large and typical american chain style. Clean, functional and comfortable. It's a little old fashioned for my taste - still has the enormous old style CRT television. Slight problem on check out as we had used the free wifi (because of status) but also tried to use the ancient internet on the tv. Unfortunately this was chargeable (despite there being no warnings of such) a slight complaint and the reception staff agreed to remove it. Not bad service. Its an okay place, clearly aimed at business users and hits the nail on the head. Needs a bit of an update in my opinion.
