“Very nice stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2011 via mobile

On the outside the hotel doesn't look fancy, but the moment you walk in you will be surprised. Modern entrance and lobby with cosy sitting area and bar. The rooms are modern, have basic colors with few highlights, working space, sofa, minibar, coffee/tea facilities and very nice bathroom. We stayed in a double room which had a bath and our girls in a room with 2 single bed which contained à walk-in shower.
In the basement of the hotel a swimming pool and gym is available free of charge for guests. Parking is free during the weekend.
The hotel is situated in a business area and the U Bahn stops just outside the hotel. It's only a five minute ride downtown. Walking downtown is also an option and will take you about 25 minutes.
Overall a very nice, modern hotel. Quietly situated and just outside the busy centre.

Good value, in between airport (15 min taxi) and downtown. Recently renovated. Efficient, clean, quiet, good breakfast, free wifi access all around. I would recommend it for any business stay but not for holidays for its lack of charm and its location. It was my second stay and the renovation was now completed so all rooms and the lobby are newly decorated. Only the elevator is a bit aging and slow during rush hours. Reception could be a tiny bit more staffed at rush hours as well.

Had a chance to really see what this facility was like after staying here for 4 days on business. The trip from the airport was 16 euros. Staff was friendly and helpful, committed to service. Breakfast was included, was self serve and was quite good. The hotel renovations alluded to earlier have been completed and it shows. My room was on the top floor, I had a view of Rhein and park, a total bonus. The TV was new, decor modern and bright, internet was complimentary for guests. The bathroom was redone and had a funky walk-in shower with a half-glass door .. worked just fine for me but for those looking forward to soaking in a tub (there was none) better check to see if some rooms have them. Running by the river is an easy few blocks. The convention center is also a short cab ride away. Overall a good place to stay for business.

Room Tip: Top floor and ask for a view of the river!

very nice refurnished design hotel. Superb room, very clean and nice bathroom. Excellent service and very complete breakfast.
In 10minutes you are with the U-bahn in the centre. You musn't have an umweltvignet for this hotel.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in September whilst attending a conference. Top drawer hotel, superb room and excellent self service breakfast. Highly recommended. Took a cab into Dusseldorf Old Town. €6.50 into town or you can take the tram for around €2.40 each way.

Booked through a 3rd party website < lower rates> and had a room on the higher floor (9) these have been refurbished and are spacious, comfortable, very clean, and have a super bathroom - air con was ok, windows best left closed due to the early morning Strassenbahn
nice big flat screen TV with various channels & hotel info

Downstairs heavy building was going on, so would affect lower floor rooms, ( they should then be offering good discounts there!)

Reception staff - the experienced ones were very good, evenings ( when most guests check in!!)it was three "Azubis" who were not all duly trained - was directed to Parking and the Internet but the words 'you have to pay for them' were omitted?!! Free parking is possible in front of the Hotel - Car Park isn't on CCTV anyway - so look and find! Otherwise all staff were very friendly and helpful ,Breakfast Buffet was very good, view over the gardens too -
The Bar best avoided as it seems you're meant to be out of the way , just two rooms and not very inviting, but probably ok for the guys after the "Messe" but uninspiring all the same - Nearby D'Dorf has lots and lots to offer, leave your car at the Hotel and take the Stassenbahn - Parking is definitely not easy and cheap - (they tow away eagerly in the centre) so its worth it

Rhine view is good, but no Rhine as its blocked by all the buildings, ok anyway - but you don't really go there for the view - the Hotel is a few Km out of the town centre, but in a quiet area and close to Airport and Messe without the noise

All in all, would go again, but saee thy have a sister hotel ( with the same name! near the "hafen/media" area) - it could be better!!

We satyed with the whole family in this hotel. Our son of 2 years old was pressing the button of the lamp in the foyer a several times and then the button fell apart. The electric wires were visible and caused an electric shock. The receptionist reaction was that it wasn't their fault, the kid shouldn't have played with the lamp. No apologies, very customer unfriendly, no follow up ....nothing. And the walls seems to be very thin, we heard the guy snorring in the other room. We wouldn't recommend this hotel!
