“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014 via mobile

Very friendly helpful staff all spoke English. On arrival we were given a map of the city which became very useful. Good location for everything 5 min walk to main shopping street 'ko'.
Buffet breakfast was good with lots of choice to suit all tastes.
Room was ok although small, very clean with an en suite, hairdryer, toiletries were provided, and there was a mini bar.
Overall good place for the price would stay there again

Stayed just 1 night before departure. Very comfortable clean and homy hotel. Big rooms, no noise at all, welcoming personal and lobby. Easy to park near hotel. The location is 5 mins on foot to railway station. I advise to visit schumacher bar on the same street. I really recommend!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

We stayed here for a long weekend. Lovely warm welcome from reception, and a most welcome warm drink given on arrival. We had had an early flight, so went straight to the hotel, and were able to check in straight away. Bedroom was small, but was ok, quite basic. We found the bed to be on the small side, and it was old, not very comfortable. No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom, but you could make hot drinks in reception, with a good range of choice i.e. tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc.
Breakfast was self service and there was plenty to choose from.

I booked this hotel for 1 night with my wife. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city, within walking distance to the old city, as well as the modern part, close to a subway station too.
The room are reasonably sized, beds comfortable, breakfast pretty good.
Staff are friendly and always willing to offer their help.
Acoustic isolation between rooms need improvement, as one can literally hear everything that's happening in the rooms next door...

This is an ideal hotel for an affordable break in Dusseldorf. It is in a good location 10 mins walk from the railway station and 10 mins walk to the city centre, provides a good breakfast, and has the benefit of free Wi Fi. We booked a room for three, and were given a great room on the top floor at the rear of the hotel that was really quiet. Although the room was basically furnished it was bright and clean, had a modern bathroom, with the single bed partially separated from the main area in an alcove. The staff, especially on reception were friendly and helpful, though the kitchen staff appeared to be overrun when the breakfast room was at its busiest.I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel or recommending to other budget conscious travellers.

Pleasant hotel with small rooms, but clean and quiet, friendly staff, welcoming drink, extensive breakfast buffet (regularly refreshed), hotel offers 4 parking spaces (11 euros per day) and only 10-15 minutes to the old city center (alt stadt). Would no doubt come back here next time.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view, otherwise you get a room in the lower building at the back
