“Just like its name ~ D'vine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

the food and cocktail are absolutely divine, the owner who's also the Chef has named this restaurant perfectly. the restaurant is located right at the corner of a small neighbourhood, very pleasant surrounding. there's this special cocktail they serve in orangy color with sprig of mint leaves, it is phenomenal and beyond any cocktail that I have had before. I end up drinking uncountable glasses watching Germany vs (cant remember which country) during the worldcup. like other review has said, this restaurant deserve a Michelin star.

I would have given you a full 5 rating if not because of the service. it's quite slow for the food to get serve, but after all, which good divine food serve fast. however, after a long wait, to find out that a table of guests who came later than us got served first and they are the family of the Chef!!! well, I mean this shouldn't stop you from dining in this restaurant because this should be in your bucket list.

“Truly Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

This place surely belongs amongst the top five of Dusseldorf restauants, if not at the top. It is on a par with the best Restaurants in Chicago, and deserves at least a Michelin star. Presentations are outstanding. Creativity excellent. Taste superb and service keeps up with the food quality. The chef here really knows what he is doing. The wine list is expansive, easy to read, and has an excellent selection of wines, along with two of our faves.
The waitstaff is knowledgeable, right there when you need them, and very friendly. There is no formality and the place breeds relaxation.
Prices were reasonable, but not inexpensive. We spent 500 euro for the four of us with drinks, two bottles of good wine, and four courses each, but this included a gratuity. This is a go to special occasion restaurant or can be much less expensive if you stick to the three course fixed price menu.

“Small venue, excellent entree and dessert selections”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Sit outside if the weather cooperates. The delicious entrees include fish, traditional schnitzel and other local fare, in-season spargel (white asparagus) of course and gorgeous desserts. The wine selection is phenomenal. Short walking distance from the harbour or a quick taxi ride. If you have a car, finding a parking spot is challenging.

“Small, modern and great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

D'Vine is relatively small (booking essential) however the tables are spaced well apart so that a business dinner is not overheard. An exciting menu with a few innovative dishes which were a first for me. For example Saddle of Rabbit with black pudding ice.
Attentive service and a good wine selection.

“Great food, nice wines, so so service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

I loved the meals. It was a great and unexpected play of (ice)cold and warm, fresh and cooked within one meal.
Outstanding service as long as you are the only one in the restaurant. Later in the evening it gets worse by the minute. I didn't like all the different people serving my meal. We started with one very nice girl serving the wine, taking the time to tell about the food (the only one who kept the level of her service high all the time). Two hours later another five people went by. I like to be helped by max of two people.
Nice wines, but I expected them to fit better with the meals. At Tante Anna (also in Dusseldorf) you get to drink wines that really fit the meals, it's like the meal couldn't exist without the wine. I didn't have the same experience with the choices at D'vine.
Friends of the manager and staff get obviously different service and more attention, I hate that.
