i had heard a lot about this place, so i was really looking forward to eating brunch there this morning. i will not be going back. the gimmick is you build your own meal buffet-style using a variety of ingredients, including some exotic/unusual ones, which are then together in a "marinade" of your choice. as there is no list of ingredients on the buffet provided at the table, you don't have time to think or plan out your dish. the ingredients themselves didn't appear to be particularly fresh (lots of brown, especially the bok choy), and a lot of the vegetables were chopped into highly irregular/different-sized pieces (ginger, garlic, onions), which made a rather careless impression. there were a lot of different meats and fish to choose from. what ends up in your bowl is pretty disappointing for the price. it seemed pretty clear to me that the sauce was intended to make up for a lack of fresh/high-quality ingredients. as far as the appetizers go, nothing to write home about. the desserts were nice to look at. i absolutely cannot fathom why they labelled the vanilla pudding i tried creme brulee. to their credit, the service was unusually good for german standards. our sever was very attentive, helpful and friendly. the atmosphere was good enough. we didn't have a table to ourselves, which i didn't have a problem with, but something that is a very strange choice by the interior decorator was the bench-style seating without backrests. i'm thankful my parents-in-law were seated at the end of the table because everyone else had to throw their legs over the bench to stand up and go to the buffet. very awkward. you might want to do some stretches prior to dining.
