Have always been impressed by the food here- huge serves of pork & various other meats, with beer flowing to your table constantly. And Hovel's is a beer that goes very well with smoked pork.
The atmosphere feels right for a worker's city as well, although the clientèle probably don't qualify as coal miners any more.
Exactly what I expected from the Ruhrgebeit and Germany in general when I first moved here.
