“Good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

Very good location, near to the central train station and to the shopping street. The breakfast is good. The only problem is the wifi, it' s really slow. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The lift is strange.

Great location, convenient for starting the sightseeing, walking a short distance to a nice restaurant or catching the train quickly. Original design, clean modern rooms, everything functioning well. Also, the staff was very helpful and answered all kinds of unexpected questions from us. The breakfast was good; the only drawback was that it might take some time until your table is waited if there are a lot of people. However, since the only thing you need to wait for is tea/coffee, you might as well ask for it and be helped swiftly:) Also, to avoid something like that, don't come for breakfast 30 min before they stop serving it, like lots of people did.

Good stay, definitely recommended!

Was just in Dortmund for 24 hours but really liked the stylish simplicity of the Grey. Great location, spacious rooms, great shower, comfortable bed, friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet. Not the cheapest place to stay but definitely one to recommend.

My experience with this hotel was quite short. I spent only 2 nights in there and I'm not disappointed. The building is big and the rooms are spacious. I liked the corridors a lot. The colours of the walls are calming and it all looks great. However, I find the price of a stay at this hotel a bit to high. Apart from that, everything was fine! :)

great location. We stayed just 1 night and left very early so didn't have breakfast. we had a 2-room accomodation and it was very clean and unusualy decorated in all shades of grey.In a very short walk there is a big shopping area and few museums.

Very friendly hotel with designer's touch. Aesthetic elegance (cool in every meaning of this word) combined with convenience and warm staff support. Ideal for the city break for modern citizens of the Earth.
Arrived at hight, parking place in the courtyard was waiting for us, reserved and safe (5 euro per day). The grey design idea is very expressive, as guests bring the other colours with them, they and their staff are very much highlighted. The hotel appreciates our presence by framing it with grey? Delicious.
Very nice breakfast and eating area.
Disadvantages: bit loud morning (8 o'clock?) due to cars in the courtyard and bit short breakfast time (till 10 o'clock). I must admit that stimulated wake up allowed us to be ready and on time for the breakfast.

Location is perfect 10/10. Literally 1min from Dortmund main train station and in the heart of the Dortmund shopping area.

Airport Express bus station is 200m from the hotel and airport is 20min drive from there with the bus.

On the other side, room is to small , no air conditioning, tiles on the floor, lift is very very slow.

If you are looking only for the perfect location, look no further.
If you are looking for the comfort try another hotel in the area.
