I must first say that this is a shiny new hotel and the rooms and furnishings were very good, the underground parking was very convenient, well lit and felt safe.
The apartments have their own well appointed kitchen, lounge and separate double bedroom. Furnished in a contemporary manner, I really liked my apartment which felt more like a hotel suite.
Now the downsides. Firstly I was staying for three nights and on the first day I found that the TV in my lounge had a problem with the sound not working. I reported this on every day of my stay and despite assurances that it would be sorted, when I checked out the receptionist admitted that nobody had ever checked it. They gave no explanation as to why this was, and they did not offer any form of refund or discount for the inconvenience caused. I thought this was very bad, for example they could have given me a discount on my parking.
Secondly the location is not great, the area around the hotel felt quite seedy with various sex shops nearby. It was only a 5 minute walk into a better part of the town though, so it wasn't a major issue but I imagine some single travelers might feel reluctant to walk around the area after dark.
Had it not been for the TV fiasco I would have given a "very good" or "excellent" rating, but I cannot do so when a fault that is reported on three separate occasions over a three day period is ignored.
