“great location and friendly hotel staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011

This hotel is strategically located across the Rhine River from the Koln Dom. So during the evening one can just sit or walk along the river bank and enjoy the marvelous night view of the DOM and the bridge. I took a few great pictures (see one attached)!

Hotel reeption desk staff are very professional, friendly, and went extra miles to extend the swimming pool for 10 more minutes for me as I wanted to exercise after a long drive. I highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: ask for rooms that face the river

I booked a Spacious suite in Hyatt , it is equiped with all facilities and it has wonderful views of Dom and river , you can walk to catheral within 10 mitues along watching the river. Expert staffs and great bearkfast make you happy too.All hotels near to city center are old in cologne , and Hyatt is the best between them. If you want to book a hotel near the city but looking for 5 stars quality , Hyatt is your choice.

This hotel is marvelous if you are attending the messe for several reasons.
-You can walk to the messe.
-You can easily move your meetings to the lobby or the restaurant upstairs
-there is a great riverside/garden restaurant outside (applicable only in summer or nice weather conditions) where you can conduct meetings.
The hotel is also nice since even if you are in cologne just for business, you can still feel like you have visited the city since the views of the Dom and the bridge are fantastic.
I also have to commend the staff, this is a well run hotel. Great linens, nice bathroom (I am picky) and wireless with out issues. One thing though, you have to pay extra for the wireless internet connection.
When you need a taxi, they call for you and it is there really fast.
Restaurant in the hotel is really good also. This is not a romantic spot, so don't go here if you are after an intimate candlelight kind of thing. The breakfast was superb.
I did not work out here and I did not use room service. Overall, this is not a cheap hotel but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this hotel.

We trust Hyatt Hotels and we were not disappointed. Great location with clean rooms. A very helpful and friendly staff. Have to pay for underground parking, but worth the money when it rains. Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in this hotel from May 20th thru May 22nd, 2011. During our tour of Europe, we stayed in several five star hotels. Out of all the hotels we stayed in, the Hyatt Regency in Cologne, Germany was absolutely the best! The staff there could not have been more friendly, the room was beautiful, the food in the restaurant was to die for, and with the stunning views of the great Dom cathedral and the Rhine, and the easy access to the city center, it was amazing! On a scale of one to ten with one being the worst and ten being the best, I would give this hotel an eleven!! Thank you Hyatt, for putting the frosting on my amazing European tour! If I am fortunate enough to return to Germany again some day, this hotel is on the top of my list of places to visit.

Had a very well organized seminar with excellent catering.
Rooms are also good value, room service friendly;
Little drawback is internet is quite expensive and set up instructions were a bit hard to find

I had a room on the specific floor which I don't remember and it has buffet so I could enjoy drinks, delicious snacks and deserts with a great view of Kölner Dom over the Rhein. That was amazing thing hotel offered. Food was fanastic. Rooms are great, nothing to complain about. The problem was while I was checking-out. Staff asked to charge for that buffett (=double charge). I was sure I had paid it while booked so I insisted to call a manager. Eventually they agreed with me, but had not any word of excuse. That left mixed feelings.
