“Great for Brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Good location and atmosphere with nice food and several healthy options.
Perhaps more expensive than some other places for breakfast/brunch but still reasonable value considering the quality of the food.

“Amazing choice of cakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

I'm never one to be at the back of the queue when there are good cakes to be had, and this place certainly fits the bill with it's array of tempting goodies.
On the day I went for a rhubarb, great choice, this could easily have been dry with little fruit, but it was so moist and packed full of rhubarb..
I will certainly be back on my next visit to Koln.

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We took 2 breakfasts here because we read some very positive reviews in Tripadvisor.
First of all you have to know that the prices were relative high (from €6 to €11 without any hot beverage) which was higher than our hotel's breakfast buffet (€9) (we had some regrets ^^).
The breakfast itself was okay (no buffet) but don't worth such a price.

“An exploration in Gin & Tonic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

I've eaten at Cafe Rico a number of times now and whilst their breakfast and lunches are all very nice - as well as their coffee and cakes which are truly fantastic, its their extensive range of Gin's and Tonic waters that really stands out above the rest. Unlike most cafe/bars which tend to stock the standard Beefeater and Bombay Sapphire offerings, while placing more attention on extending their whiskey or vodka ranges, Cafe Rico has taken a refreshingly different approach and invested in a fantastic range of fine London and International, limited batch Gins (eg. Berkeley, Oxley, Tanqurey Malacca). Even if you are not already a discerning Gin drinker, the appealing display alone is enough to lure your pallet into fast becoming a convert. Attention to details such as coupling each variety of Gin with one of the wide selection of International Tonic waters, served in balloon glasses and matched with an aromatic to finish (think rosemary, dried blueberry or fresh basil, not just a slice of lemon or lime) is a fantastic alternative to afternoon coffee and cake.

“Great service and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We went to the markets in Rudolfplatz and ran into this place to get out of the rain.

The kitchen was closing but the waitress was so helpful and pleasant.
A nice quiet little café to get away from the crowds.

It was truly a pleasure to stumble on this place :)
