“Stay Away”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

First, how do not have liquor with one page of your menu is titled "Cocktails"? We were really looking forward to a margarita. We had arrive for an early dinner and we were to only table in the restaurant. I was curious to see the interpretation Germans have on Mexican food. Being from Florida I knew not to expect anything like home. My single glass of sprite cost the same amount as my appetizer which turned out to be tortilla chip with baked cheese and pickled jalapenos. Finally, when trying to pay for our tabs the waitress asked if we had smaller bills than a 20 to pay for a 13.70 tab. Being a restaurant literally next to the main tourist attraction in the city and asking your customers if they can pay with smaller bills is ridiculous. Be prepared. The food is over priced and the service is terrible. Stay away.

“Not Bad for "German Mexican"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2012

This restaurant served both Italian and Mexican foods :P But any time we've seen Mexican in Germany, we've termed it "German Mexican"-it's their interpretation of Mexican. For instance, at Maggiano's they put corn kernels in every meal (tacos, burritos...). This food was pretty decent for German Mexican, though. We got fajitas, which were tasty and came with guacamole (the creamy sauce kind), salsa, and sour cream (with 3 tortillas-but it was a BIG meal). Refried beans and cheese were on the side. We also got tacos, which were listed as including "salad"...well the plate was FULL of lettuce...then the 2 tacos were embedded in the lettuce haha. But the tacos were stuffed full of meat and with beans and salsa on the side, I was only able to eat one :P

They didn't have any liquor-just wine and beer. The restaurant had a strange atmosphere-it seemed like it was in a storeroom or something. But the waitress was very pleasant and the food came out quickly. We didn't look at the Italian part of the menu, so can't help with that. But we did notice that they also served steaks-from Farmer's restaurant-I guess they were affiliated.

“Slow and dangerous service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2011

We very nearly avoided a major disaster at this restaurant. The stupid waitress held a tray with 3-4 plates of food right over my baby in his pram, and ignored me telling her that she was tilting the tray. One of the plates was a fajita mix sizzling in one of those cast iron dishes and it was tipping and dribbling hot oil over my baby. She finally realized and thankfully only his clothes were stained, nothing worse, but we very nearly could have had boiling hot food tipped over him, never mind the heavy cast iron dish.
The service was incredibly slow, food ok but the slow service wrecked the meal long before the almost-burnt baby! The waitress had poor English

We were delighted by the Italian, Mexican cuisines at one place. Awesome service. Portions were big and nice ambience. Must visit in cologne.

“Near Koelner Dom”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2010

Were here at Saturday’s evening. Almost all the tables were full, so we had to wait. Both Italian and Mexican menus looked diverse and promising. We chose Tortellini and "Arroz con pollo" (rice with chicken) and were fully satisfied with size of portions and quality of food. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive to us (may be because we tried to make an order in bad German instead of English) , but I saw her smiling and joking to another guests. I hope it was a little misunderstanding.
