“A very particoular and confortable place, in the town centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

The place hosts also long term (old) guests, that may confers some kind of "hospital sensation". But this fact doesn't affect much your staying, as everything is confortable, starting from the very spacious room (we took a superior one), that actually is a mini-apartment (else if there aren't dishes and pans for cooking!). Also services are excellent, with excellent breakfast, a very good spa, free in-room Internet and the possibility to rent also playstation.
At short foot distance from the main train station and the heart of Bonn, the only real defect is the price, not properly cheap, but for sure I feel to recomend it to everyone.

This hotel is modern and also has a classic look having been extended and various times. The rooms are on many levels and takes time to find your way around. The breakfast buffet is excellent and service from the staff very good. It is strange that the bar closes at 10pm for a large hotel. Fast wifi and business desks in the rooms. However, like many hotels there are not enough plugs for you PC and phone charger. I would return, but not without seeing if other hotels at 4 star are nearby with better facilities.

Room Tip: Try and stay in main building.

The Collegium Leoninum Hotel is part of an elderly housing complex. This is a bit off-putting at first, but the rooms are so nice and the building is so beautiful that it really didn't matter. However, the front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. Not sure why that was. The breakfast room was very nice and the buffet was excellent. The staff there were very nice.

The location was a bit away from the center but the 5 minute walk was pleasant. And they have parking.

I stayed in this hotel for a seminar. So conveniently near (10minutes walk) to the Train station. The place is clean and quiet. Aside from being a convention centre, it is also partly a residence for the aged, hence there are many conveniences for the elderly. If you like the monastery ambience (brick walls and arched hallways) with lots of modern equipment and wifi, you will enjoy this place. There is a swimming pool, fitness center and sauna room. The room I stayed had a kitchenette with a cooking stove and refrigerator. The meeting rooms were well furnished. A good service. The breakfast buffet was also varied and delicious.

Honestly my first reaction after entering this place was am I at the right place. But later everything was so likeable and adorable that we just loved our stay. It is a place with contrasting features, lots of elderly people around and a church in the middle and big swimming pool, center room with a fire place, sauna bath and gym, it was like mixture of modern and conventional at one small place. But truly wonderful without doubt, wooden floors were baffling and services were wonderful. Spotlessly clean and tidy and few minutes walk away from Stadhaus U Bahn, Altstadt and train station, so very convenient for us to travel to the places. Reasonably priced and served quality luscious food which made it even more enjoyable place to stay. My friend said that he could write a book while staying at this place such was the peace and comfort of the place. Highly recommended!

I can't fault the build or quality of fittings but the hotel has no character at all. Very clinical and the rooms are kitted out for elderly people with access equipment and alarms.
The hotel has 4.5 stars which is incredible considering there is no air conditioning whatsoever, combine that with hard beds and a heat wave and the result is an unpleasant environment.
Restaurant for breakfast is good and so too are the staff and cleanliness is also good.
I would not return, just because the place has no soul or character.

This was the most unique hotel I have ever stayed in. It is an elderly home too and has a church right in the middle of the hotel. But if you are looking for a place which is sparkling clean and unbelievably serene this is the place you should check in. Absolutely calm and quiet with good services and all the modern amenities in the rooms, it is very relaxing and comforting place to be. Breakfast was good and had sufficient choices. Its just few minutes walk away from the station so very convenient for vacationers or people on a business trip. I liked this place very much and would love to come again here.
