“Contemporary hotel next to the rhine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

Contemporary hotel overlooking the river Rhine. Good service. Always very clean and tiday, Bar and restaurant prices are very high. Try the franchised Bavarian "hut" in front of the hotel with traditional dishes at much bettter prices and Bavarian beer. Make sure the aircon works in your room and ask for a room with a view if possible . Lots of corporate events so dont get an inside room overlooking the party area. Make sure yoiu get a rate that includes breakfast therwise it is abpout 24 euros

Room Tip: ask for an outside room with a view

This place has the stars (and the prices to match) and it does it in a very stylish way. High points are the roof top heated pool, suanas, rooms, wallpaper and location overlooking the Rhine. Low is the location - the general area itself, and lack of ironing boards in the room (they'll iron for free but get your order in early). Don't let that put you off though, this is pretty good place to stay!

Room Tip: Don't face into the courtyard.

Lovely hotel - true. However, I had the misfortune of staying during a "party night" which effectively meant that I was attempting to sleep in a nightclub (loud music almost rattling the furniture). Rang reception who apologised, said the party was due to end at 5 or 6am, couldn't offer me an alternative quiet room and said "this happens a lot when we have parties". No sleep at all. Nothing I could do. Awful and a pity because in all other respects it looked like a nice hotel.

Room Tip: Ring ahead and find out of you are staying on a party night (most likely a Saturday) - if you are AV...

Very nice, stylish Hotel and the location is picturesque, especially if you sit in the rooftop infinity pool. The whole Spa area it really nice made, so are the rooms although with all the different control panels for the lights and AC, you first need to understand how it works.
But be aware, the basic rate I had was quite good, but extras at least for the booking I had were really expensive. Using parking, WiFi and breakfast would have been an additional 76 Euro as far as I remember the numbers, about the rate of a 3 Star hotel in the area with all that included. Also, there are not to many shopping and eating possibilities around.

Good and friendly service, interesting decor, roof top pool, great SPA and gym. Yes, there may be conventions that are not interesting if its not your own company but overall in my experience, best business hotel in Germany.

Room Tip: Ask for external direction room, not inwards.

We had an absolute perfect stay in the Kameha Grand. Service was outstanding. I had to call for a late arrival and was already amazed by the friendly service on the Phone. The service stayed perfect during our weekend. Sauna and pool are great and the breakfast was a great start of the day. When I return to Bonn I will definitely stay at the Kameha again!

I statyed 3 days for a conference, In a hotel like that you expect that some of the media amenities and other services works well.
First thing was that after paying a very high price, wi-fi was not included as one of the services and I also had to pay for the breakfast.
I went to my hotel room and the tv remote was not working and after trying to find out why, I found that the remote control had no bateries!
The first night, I went to the bar for a beer and it took 20 minutes úntil I could order one, they asked me to pay upfront and after 10 minutes waiting, there was no beer, the barrel was empty and they had to replace it... after 10 more minutes I had to ask for another drink and same was warm.
Far for a 5 star hotel.
