“comfortable and well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Simple but nice and clean rooms. The location is very good: 5 min walk to the railway station, 10 min to the Dom and the city hall. In 5 min walk you can find supermarkets and a very good inexpensive Italian restaurant. There is also a restautante in the hotel. The breakfast is recommended! The staff is frindly but not very helpful. The hitting system is central so you can't control the tempreture in your room. No safe and No minibar in the room.

Excellent location close to the railway station. Confortable rooms, very quiet, thanks to the small corridor at the entrance and two doors separating from the central corridor. The staff is friendly and very efficient. Extra pillows in the room would be appreciated.

Good location, not to far from the city center. Easy to come by car, you do not have to ride in the center. Good value parking (6 eur/night). The close the parking with a fence at night, so your car is safe. Good breakfast. I would stay here again.

Located in an excellent spot - close to the Hauptbahnhof and immediately right outside the old town wall (i.e., very close to the historic city center) - this is one of the nicer and more upmarket Ibis hotels I have stayed in. There is an onsite restaurant, which I did not try (nor did I have breakfast). There are plenty of other restaurant options nearby as well. Parking is secure and cheap. Internet can be slow, even with the paid service in the room. Not sure the reason why, as I've used the paid service on other Ibis hotels, and it was fine (bit also sometimes not). The staff are warm and welcoming, like Rheinlanders are. If you want to be near the city center but not right in the city center (because, for example, you are arriving by car), this is a fine place to stay. The bed was a bit weird though, in that there were no sheets on the actual mattress, but a thing extra mattress on top covered with sheets. It was comfortable, but I haven't seen that before.

This hotel is very well positioned in the center of Aachen, it is only a short walk from the old city center and cathedral, and only a 3 minute walk from the train station.
The staff were very helpfull and the hotel was very clean and tidy.
The breakfast was a definate plus and well worth having.
The only criticism that I have is that there were no English TV channels available, so make sure that you take a book with you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as early morning traffic can be noisy

I spent bout a week in this hotel. It's a real cheap hotel (50-60euros per day). The service is excellent. Employees are speaking at least two different languages. The breakfast is really good. Hotel's parking is cheap too. The location of the hotel is very good. The train station is really close. Internet is free only in the lobby and it's very slow. Don't bother to pay 3 euros for having internet access in your room. I couldn't even google search sometimes. You also cannot send emails via outlook. Very good hotel but if you need an internet connection think twice if you gonna spend a night there!
