This hotel is a nice and comfortable hotel but not the "First Class" kind of a hotel that I have seen stated on other websites if you were to browse around and find. It clearly is centrally located within walking distance to many places of interest in the center of the city (the DOM, Congress Hall, etc.). I consider this hotel to be one that is upper middle class in accomodations, not budget but not overpriced either for the accomodations. Everything was functioning properly as expected. I must say, however, the room I stayed in (#209) had a slight musty odor about it upon entering. I know not the reason why. It was not an overbearing odor and seemed to either go away by morning or by morning I had become accostomed to it. My stay was for one night and for business purposes. Parking was convienient across the street in the public parking structure and free with the guest parking pass/card obtained from the front desk. Be forwarned if traveling with a family.....as in any big city in any country......I was approached by a non-threatening man on a bicycle wanting to sell me a car CD player and loose CD's as he pulled them out from the warmth of his jacket. Oh....and if your wanting to do psychological research on patrons and suppliers within a RED LIGHT district then that research material is available just a couple of streets away as well. As you can tell....this is a REAL review.....I have traveled around and am not ignorant to how the world is and can be......The Aquis Grana returned an interesting yet comfortable, clean (except for the slight odor in the air), experience that would be worthy of a return visit.
