“Lovely hotel well recommended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

The hotel is a stones throw from the Hbf and you can walk from the hotel reception to the platform in 3 minutes!
Room was superb and very large, wifi good as well plus the room had an coffee machine as well as the normal facilities. Friendly and helpful staff who speak a range of languages.

The only small minus point was the waiter in the evening who never asked about wanting something to eat with a drink which resulted in me having a meal elsewhere.

A very good quality hotel and well located for the railway station.

Room Tip: I personally sleep very well in almost any circumstance so the room allocation is not an issue.

I have stayed in this hotel for many times and always felt satisfied. It has a great location just next to the Osnabruck main train station. The room is small but is clean and suffcient for a short stay. Wifi in room is now free though the connection is a little unstable. Breakfast is excellent with wide choices of fresh German bread, variety of German sausages, cheese, eggs, fruits and salads. The staff is very friendly and efficient. One time I have to leave earlier than breakfast time, the staff simply packed a full breakfast bag for take away. This hotel is highly recommended.

Room Tip: Better not to have a room facing the cinema. It is quite noisy on Friday and Saturday evening.

I stayed at Advena Hotel a few years ago and found quite expensive hotel and internet access.

At this time, I found a much better situation : the hotel reduced its prices compares to the others around the city and the internet access now is for free (you have to get a 24 hour password in the front desk, one for each device you want to access). The internet is quite fast and now no longer expensive !

The hotel continues the same : clean, poor decoration, a few amenities, but everything works very well. The rooms are quite big to European standards and at least the one I got was very well sound proofed, despite the fact the windows are just in front of the main street. The breakfast is very good, with nice selection of cheese, ham, bread and other local specialities.

The staff is very corteous and fast. They are always ready to give you nice support and indications of places around the hotel. Check in and check out are very fast.

Parking in the hotel is very tricky : there are no enough places for all guests, so if you arrive late, basically you will not find any space. The solution is to park in the garage near the train station and walk to the hotel. Or to arrive before 5 PM and find a spot there ! To leave the parking lot, you need to ask the front desk for a coin. Normally it was a paid parking, but if you choose the business package, you get it for free.

Great location across from the train station and sandwiched between McDonalds and Burger King. Booked a triple room for extra space, which gave a view over the hotel courtyard. There was lots of dust under the beds and the around the edges of the bathroom. I wasn't particularly keen on the frosted glass bathroom door; the person in the bathroom was quite visible. The bar/restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and provided an English menu for dinner. Breakfast was busy and not worth 13€, despite being told at check-in it was 11€. Great service at dinner although a strange combination of vegetables found in the chilli.

No romance @city spa!
Planned a romantic weekend, however got two single beds. There were light switches in de the middle, so you could not move them together. ( tried it at night, however woke up twice cause my pillow hit the lights) Tried to call reception, house keeping for an hour. However no response. Finally found someone and asked to change rooms. The reply was, that the hotel was full. However rooms were still available on expedia.com. This hotel has a serious management problem. The sauna you can use is from the local gym. So crowded. In the weekends it only opens at 10:00. Switch on sauna at 10:15. So before it is hot, you already have to check out. Breakfast is expensive. Walk into town. For 8 euros all you can eat breakfast/lunch at Extrablat. Or other places.

To the plus:
Location was good. Close to railway station. 15 min walk into downtown.

Room Tip: We paid extra for a bigger room and got a small one. Just pick the cheapest you can get. Rest is a j...

This hotel is located right at the train station which is very handy. The rooms are a bit on the small side but they are clean and the staff are helpful. The lighting in my room was lacking a bit - there was no overhead light in the main area of the room. I also found it very strange that the exercise room did not open until 9:00 AM? Impossible to get in some exercise before heading to do business!
For convenience I would stay there again but if I was going to spend some time in Osnabruck for a vacation I would probably look for something a little better.

Another great German hotel. Very central location albeit a bit of a walk to the best restaurants. Could do with decent maps to help. Spa was a bit confusing but nice once you find it. Bit cramped for breakfast but very big rooms and would recommend.
