“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

I have stayed at this hotel four times now, and although I am reasonably satisfied with the standard of the rooms and facilities, there are also some areas which could definitely benefit from improvement. The hotel is Marriott-branded, but not owned by Marriott. This is why you sometimes get an attitude when dealing with the staff which, in my view, is totally unacceptable. Some members of the staff could definitely benefit from a short course in charm school, even though I have to say the majority of staff is friendly and polite. The rooms are pleasantly furnished, although they are small. The integrated bathroom is a unique design which does not appeal to everyone. Since I travel alone on business trips, it's okay, but I'm not sure that the design is couples-friendly. One big negative: although there are ironing boards and irons in the rooms, the irons are not steam irons, and they are completely useless. The hotel charges EUR 10 to launder one shirt (!!), but the laundry in the Globus Markt across the street charges EUR 2.15. Additionally, the hotel charges EUR 16.00 for the breakfast buffet, which is not always as fresh as one would expect for that price, and the coffee is a catastrophe. Again, you can get a very delicious, freshly cooked breakfast at the Globus Markt across the street for about EUR 5.00. Parking is free and plentiful, which is a plus, but the area in which the hotel is located is not very attractive..

Stayed just outside of Wiesbaden at the Marriott Courtyard. It was a very pleasant surprise. It was nicer than any of the Courtyards we have stayed at in the US.
We had started out at another hotel in Wiesbaden but found that nobody had effective a/c, so based on other reviews, we decided to move here. And we were glad we did. We slept so much better when we were sweating.
If you want a/c to be able to sleep at night, this is a great bet. It actually is cold air!!!! This is a rarity in Europe.
The lobby is nice, breakfast room is large, nicely decorated, food is very good, and believe it or not, very pleasant staff will come take your empty plates away, smile and wish you good morning. Every seems very happy at this hotel.
They have adequate free parking in their lot.
The rooms are nice, clean, spacious enough. The property is in great condition.
Location - they are very close to the highway so if you want to go to Wiesbaden, it's a five minute drive - just park in one of the many Wiesbaden garages and walk around. Parking is cheap in Wiesbaden. So it's not a problem to stay here - rates are good and the a/c works great.
I did read about the wifi issues. Apparently the routers had to be located neat the elevators, which interferes with the signal. But we told the staff and they put us in a location which provided an excellent signal.
We would definitely stay here again. Bon Voyage.

Check was great, very easy and very courteous! The rooms were nice size (especially for Europe) and well furnished. We were not too fond of the bathroom design...small and the shower was not closed in. If you wanted any privacy from the rest of the room, it was not completely possible. The hotel bar was well stocked and the bar crew were very nice. The breakfast was not the best...we were told to arrive later in the morning vs. early because of two tour buses but when we arrived (0930) the buffet was almost empty. The staff had not cleaned any tables and when we asked to be seated they acted like we were bothering them. It was also very pricey for a simple breakfast buffet! Other than that, the hotel was great. The location was directly off the autobahn and easy to get to. Mainz and Frankfurt are just 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic.

This hotel is just off the highway in a block of businesses. The facility is quiet and nicely decorated with the possible exception being the lack of a door on the shower. Makes for a wet bathroom floor. But unlike other hotels we stayed at around the country, the AC worked great. Cannot say the same for the WiFi in the rooms which was barely functional. The staff is helpful. When we checked in they were able to accommodate my request for a room with two beds for my sons. As others have indicated a car is a must to get around. It is a good central location for touring Frankfurt, vineyards in the Nahe valley and the castles along the Rhine. Quick trip back to the Frankfurt airport at the end of our holiday. Parking is free at this hotel.

This hotel is located around 20-30 minutes from city center Wiesbaden and Frankfurt Airport. I would not recommend this hotel as a hotel for tourist purposes but as a business hotel I really like it a lot. It is clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is very nice. Also, the restaurant is also recommendable if you don't want to go to the city center for diner. The food is nice and they have an excellent choice. Also the price of the room and the food is more than reasonable.

Property has been renovated by Marriott and is very nice, quiet and clean. The hotel is a little off the beaten path but worth it. Be sure to check that your reservation at the desk matches what you thought you reserved - ours did not and we had to print a copy of the reservation to prove we had paid for breakfast. Fortunately, things were worked out with management. Breakfast is quite good but we had to go looking for napkins and forks - the staff is not always attentive but everything is pretty much self-serve. There is a big shop right across the street for buying almost any kind of food and the room has a small refrigerator. The bar in the lobby was very welcoming and a perfect place for an evening beer while watching a soccer game! Enjoy!

Room Tip: Don't believe the website that states 2 double beds. Europeans do not have two double beds in a...
