The hotel building is absolutely superb. Very historic, and the hotel itself is worth a good look round. The room we had (superior king size non smokiing) was very comfortable, and had plenty of space. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, and all of them were pleasant. The breakfast choices were very good, although we were surprised, given the price of a room that the measly 9 euros per person was charged on top.

The only downside for us was that the room overlooked the street, and even with double glazing shut tight the buses woke us early in the morning. Just make sure if you book that you ask for a room that overlooks the inner courtyard. Had we done so the rating would have been excellent.

There is very little parking at the hotel, and you have to use the valet parking at 20 euros per night, unless you find your own public car park, and even that will cost you, so the valet parking is probably worth it, you just have to be aware of the cost.

Overall this hotel is very good, as long as you choose the inner rooms.

Arrived very late, around 1.30am, due to poor weather en route, but receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely room with view of inner courtyard. Ver y quiet excellent night's sleep.

In the morning the hotel was well situated for the local sights which allowed us to walk off a good breakfast which was included in our weekend rate.

Charming town worth a visit.

I have stayed all over the world in all different kinds of hotels. Well, what makes a great hotel to me is spectacular service and CHARACTER. Well, the Schwarzer Bock has it. These rooms are fantastic, and each one is unique. The building is old and full of charm, with winding hallways and high ceilings. The service is top notch, with valet parking, a lovely bar and an overpriced breakfast (who cares - get coffee down the street).
And the town is brilliant! Wiesbaden is one of those places you just love to meander in.
I would definitely come to Wiesbaden again, and when I do, I will stay at the Scwarzer Bock.

My wife and I spent a week here in late Oct-Nov 2005. Our stay could not have been more pleasant. The staff was attentive, ready to assist, and always sincere. Eg, Nadine, and Benjamin (at the front desk) are 3 of the most incredible representatives of Wiesbaden & the Radisson SAS Schwartzer Bock! All three were always at the ready to recommend a new restaurant, or a place to visit, or simply a "guten tag" with a smile.
Our room was large, very clean, and had great view! We had no "surprises"; the hotel web-site will accurately describe your accommodations.
Make sure you try the breakfast...its wonderful!
