I'm currently staying in the City Hotel, Wiesbaden, Germany. The rooms are small, but clean and breakfast at 8€ is ok. As the previous commenters stated the place is excellent if you want to see the historic city. For me it's ecellent as well as just around the corner there is a major bus stop where I can get to my current employer with 4 different bus lines. It's German 3 star category by DEHOGA

I travel yearly to Wiesbaden to see my family and have stayed in many hotels. City Hotel was great. The price is unbeatable and the proximity to shopping is great. Parking is cheap in the back of the hotel and the internet wifi is also cheaper than an internet cafe.
Rooms are clean and even the smoking rooms do not stink like old ashtrays.
The front desk is so helpful and if you request a specific room type they go above and beyond to make it happen.
This is my new hotel of choice in Wiesbaden.

The location of this hotel is excellent if you are interested in seeing the historic old city where cars are not allowed. The hotel is less than 2 blocks from this area, filled with restaurants. The Opera, Casino, and large city park are also within easy walking distance.

The room was very small, but clean and stylish. Be warned that the modern bathroom has glass walls, so if you are modest with your room mate, this is not the hotel for you. Bed was comfortable and the lighting was good. If we had been staying more than 3 nights, the storage would have become an issue.

I gave 3 stars because:

no breakfast was included, but is available for a surcharge
WiFi is free in lobby, but not in rooms
room was small
if you need light on in bathroom during the night, you WILL disturb your mate
