The "charm" level is very high at this nice, little place. It fits perfectly into the cobblestone streets and attractive shops and cafes of Rudeheim. The reception and restuarant definitely has a very cozy feel to it. The room itself was quite basic but was fairly sizeable. The 2nd floor room we had looked out over a neighboring hotel's open-air restaurant which was nice. The bathroom was large which is definitely unusual for Europe.

Our only complaint was that because of the close proximity of all the hotels in Rudesheim, night time meant we were exposed to all the very late night happenings in neighboring hotels. It just so happened on this weekend, it was "Biker Days". So tiny Rudesheim was overrun with Harley's and the black leather. Normally this wouldn't bother us, but what I imagine is normally a sleepy little town was rocking with some very drunk karaoke-ing until 4AM.

Other than that, I would certainly recommend Lindenwirt to anyone looking to lose themselves in the charm of Rudesheim.

We have just returned from an Easter break in Rudesheim, and only booked this hotel on the internet about a week before.
We really can't fault the Hotel Lindenwirt! The rooms are simple but they are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is about as central as you can get, being directly next to the Drosselgasse and numerous restaurants and shops are either on the doorstep or within very easy walking distance. Parking in the central courtyard is free, if like us, you drive there - which is a definite bonus. At times it was quite full but the staff organise it very well and always fitted everyone in!
Our room was on the opposite side of the courtyard to the Drosselgasse and was lovely and quiet. The hotel is also far enough back from the main riverside road so that the road and trains do not disturb you.
What else? Ah yes, good buffet breakfast in their lovely old restaurant, overlooking the Drosselgasse and the chiming clock.
We would return without hesitation, and hopefully will very soon!

A hotel with lots of character and charm. The room was average but with a nice, newly renovated bathroom. Very clean and the service staff were most friendly. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the old city and the market, with the room windows overlooking the Drosselgasse. Ideal for exploring the Rhien valley also. Highly recommended.

This hotel was excellent. The rooms were quite basic but spotless,in a perfect positon in the town with some of the rooms overlooking the chiming clock,and also the tiny narrow streets.We all hope to go back again in December as it is a Hansel & Gretal Town and would be just perfect in the snow.Food was excellent and hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
