Easy as pie: avoid it!!!!! We can't find any of the supposed 3 stars.
- Unfriendly staff, they didn't even say Gutten Morgen.
- Wifi is lower than a 56kb modem.
- Cleaning.... maybe went away with the three stars (see wc related pictures).

If this is a three-star hotel, you have to wonder what the star ratings mean! If the front desk people had cracked a smile I would have died from joy -- or shock. There was no notion of a welcome -- although I was allowed to check in at 10am. That was a plus... but the only one.

The location of the hotel is good but then it is cheap in everything. I only had to stay one night otherwise I would have looked for another hotel. The non smoking rooms smell of cigarettes and the bathrooms need a major upgrade

Room Tip: I have nothing to add here, there are no particularly good rooms. Check that it is clean!

The first time I stayed in this hotel was May2009, and since then the value of this hotel is decreasing very fast. This time I spent many days (15) in this hotel because I was waiting for my new apparment.
Just like an another TripAdvisor user said before: it is very well located, but it is definitely the ONLY benefit to stay in this hotel.
The roooms and the hotel could get a new look, specially the floors. The carpets look already very bad. The service of the females on the reception desk is very awfull.

Room Tip: If possible choose an another Hotel

I booked this hotel for a one night business trip to a trade fair at the Messe. Location (5 minutes from the Messe) is the ONLY benefit of this hotel.
The professional photos on their site do not reflect the current state of this hotel, which is in a complete state of disrepair and DIRTY! It is more like a YMCA hostel than a hotel. The very young staff upon check-in were not helpful and seemed "put out" that they had to serve someone when I arrived. My room was absolutely disgusting! The carpet had white marks and fluff/dirt all over it, the room had not been dusted for a LONG time, the shower head was clogged with limescale and the sink was clogged with hair. So I went to reception and complained, where the staff told me they had nothing else available. When I spoke to the amazed manager, he magically offered me another room. This second room, although slightly cleaner than the first was still dirty, smelt from the open drain in the bathroom and the shower head was connected to the hose with sticky tape, so that more water escaped from the sides than actually fell down on me when showering. I would never stay here again - its dirty, unkept and the service is dreadful. I cant comment on breakfast as I refused to eat there it was so horrible.

Room Tip: There are NO good rooms. The professional photos must have been shot 20 years ago and do not reflect...

After booking this hotel, we read the comments and were worried that it's our greatest mistake.
In fact - everything was according to what is written on their site.
What was needed for us is a comfortable and simple place to stay at night and take a shower.
Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, some kind of radiator warmed the room, which was nice and bright.
All those minuses people talk about - small TV with German channels only or missing elevator in the second building - are not that important. If it's your first time in Frankfurt you won't be interested in a TV. If you are young\not lazy - you won't fell bad about getting to the 2-3 floor by feet.
Staff was friendly and helpful with everything we asked. They speak German and English. Some of them also know Russian and Romanian.
WiFi not that good - connection was slow and disconnected frequently. But we still managed to use it.
Good location, low prices. Didn't try the breakfast.
You pay for what you get. If you need an elevator, a satellite TV, jacuzzi, minibar or whatever else to lock yourself up in the room - look for a 5 stars hotel.
This one has only 3. And it's fine.

Room Tip: Main building was refurbished and has an elevator. Rooms in the second building are quieter and smok...

We booked this last minute and found it to be quite cute with a slanting roof, an extra room with a bed and decent bathroom. It was smallish but clean and breakfast was great. For the price, we found this hotel to be great compared to other European countries we've been to recently at higher costs! It was close to the tram and met our requirements fine :)
