“Fabulous breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

The hotel was easy to reach by a tram or a bus. The buses run in every 10 minutes and it takes about 10 minutes to get there from the city center. The breakfast is fabulous; warm and cold dishes. The sleeping comforty was very good; the rooms are soundproof.

Stayed at this hotel during the book fair of Frankfort as I was attending a business meeting.

The hotel is located close to... nothing it seems...

Itself the hotel is probably good only for a quick stop and I'm sure not for more. I stayed one night and found it not interesting. Maybe the high rate paid didn't help...

Rooms were quite spacious with the basic equipment but you could see that cleaning even ok was not good either.
The bed were hard like the floor so I didn't sleep well and I could hear the noise of the road.

I had lunch and breakfast and for the price of the lunch I probably should have gone to the Imbiss cross the street. The breakfast was ok...

All in all this is a basic hotel that is ok if you don't stay long. However the bed was not good (as my colleagues had the same comment) so if you like comfy bed avoid this hotel. Well the twin room of this hotel as maybe the king are better.

Personally it will not be my place of choice in Frankfort in the future but maybe I'm spoiled by other hotel I have the chance to stay in too...

This hotel is located across the street from the American Consulate. This is very convenient if you have business to conduct at the Consulate and the hotel has a pre-negotiated rates with the U.S. Government. Breakfast was included in my rate and the food was very delicious. The coffee was very good as well. Overall this is a decent hotel and most importantly the staff were very polite.

The hotel facility looks fairly new and the rooms were in great condition. The lobby has a bar and restaurant with a great selection of beer. The location was great for my situation but some people may find it inconvenient if you plan on being downtown very often. However, the hotel is on a main road that has bus stops going directly into the downtown area. There are a few dining options nearby and less than a 5-10 minute walk there's a McDonalds and Subway sandwich shop.

The one item I found most unpleasant was the fact that internet is not included with the room and when you pay, you only have an access code for one device at a time. If you want to use an iPod touch and your computer, you have to make sure to disconnect one before connecting the other. The gym was very small and one of the pieces of equipment broke on my first day there and the hotel didn't have it repaired when i left a week later.

My room had a fairly nice flat panel TV and I was able to hook up my laptop to the computer inputs so I could watch movies from it. This made the evenings a little more entertaining.

Room Tip: The rooms on the southwest wing were quiet.

Pros: 1-The place is near us embassy(5 min walk) and I choosed it only for this reason. If your business is aroud this location it is not a bad choise but if not ,do not choose it.2-There is also free coffee and tea to go in the lobby but always it was cold! 3-There are 2 computer in the business room and the internet and printing is free there

Cons: When you give a hotel a score it should be based on its value for money and what is expected for its star. I mean you should not compare its facility to a 2-3 star or to a cheap 4 star hotel.I Had to pay 235 Euro/night for a business room because it was during a Fair in Frankfurt(Before deciding to go Frankfurt You should first check Fairs program as during these Fairs that are not also few hotels would be 3-4 times more expensive).1-The room was very small for a business room. When I asked them, they told me business room is the same size as standard room and only difference is that it faces a calm Yard!!! 2-No free Wi-Fi internet in the rooms. It is 10 Euro/day and it is not good for such a hotel with this star and price 3-Bathroom water was not hot.It was only warm. 4-No minibar 5-Breakfast was not bad but nothing special. No fresh fruit juice,no cappuccino or coffee maker, very limited options 6-It is very far from the city center(20-30 min ) 7-The nearest undergroud station is at least 10 min walk ! and there is only a bus station just near the hotel 8-Lobby of the hotel is very small like a 3star hotel 8- Check in time is very late(15:00!!!).I Have never seen such a thing before!!! 9- At the first day I arrived 9 am.When I came there for a probable early check in,the woman at the front desk without seeing my reservation ,name ,room type or any other checking,no room available . I could not belive that every kind of rooms were occupied!! I felt she did not want to check me in so early 10-If your business is not around the hotel, there is nothing near this hotel

This hotel is caters to the business crowd, and only offers the bare necessities. If you get breakfast included in your room rate, the buffet is your standard Continental European fare, though they offer Belgian Waffles made-to-order. Not once did any server show me to a table, come by to check on me, offer me a fresh pot of coffee, or inquire as to whether I wanted any made-to-order breakfast items. The room service selection is horribly unappetizing, and is only served until 10pm. There aren’t any good restaurants within walking distance, so be prepared to eat dinner elsewhere! Despite having BWR Diamond Elite status, the staff did not offer me any sort of room upgrade or late checkout. In fact, I saw absolutely no benefit to even having BWR Diamond Elite status! The “double” room is a typical European double – two twin beds that can be pushed together. The bedding was fine, but the bath towels were threadbare! Some of them were even beginning to unravel! Oh, and bring your own après-shampoo (aka conditioner); the hotel doesn’t provide it. Given the price and location, I think this hotel needs to step it up! Though it’s conveniently located near the U5 Geissnerstrasse tram stop, it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the heart of downtown Frankfurt.

This hotel is "outside" of the downtown area, but with the new public transportation #18 streetcar in front of the hotel, it makes commuting much easier with a 10 min ride to the pedestrian shopping area "Zeill". The rooms are a decent size and clean. The breakfast buffet was very nice. There is a gym, but it is small with only about three pieces of equipment. The location to the US Consulate is convenient and there is a very nice grocery store across the street to buy drinks and snacks to put in the empty mini fridge in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. You also have two choices of restaurants inside the hotel, The Cube which has a bar and tables serving sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc., along with a more upscale restaurant.

I booked this hotel because I had a meeting literally around the corner. If you are wanting a good hotel experience, this ain't it. The rooms are very basic, no mini-fridge, no IRON even, no bottled water (there is a vending machine down the hall). Also the gym is incredibly basic, with one treadmill, and one bicyle, and one universal machine which was out of order during my visit. It's fine if you have a meeting in the area, don't think I would stay there if I didn't. Oh yeah, all the rooms are twin bedded, no queens or kings. Breakfast was great!
